Friday 27th, Break into a bike, Win a prize!

Roll up, Roll up!
Open to all ladies and gents in the soho area Friday evening, an amazing prize (possibly coffee based) will be given to the first person to get the back seat off the kwak without doing any dammage!

Yep I forgot to re-connect the seat release lock and cable before putting the seat back on last weekend!

So come and spectate, or participate. Either way, who fancies a nice hot cup of the black stuff after work?

Spiderman 26-01-06 08:30 PM

I'll be there but if you value your bikes looks in any way then be sure to keep me away from it.

Mr Toad 26-01-06 08:42 PM

There should be an option for "Sorry I won't be there, I'm rebuilding my server after taking technical advice from a friend . . . "

But I might be along after I've rebuilt it :D

jonboy 26-01-06 08:44 PM

Nope not this week (yet again) :( .

.

jambo 26-01-06 08:47 PM

Oi!!!
It's not my fault if the thing's as stable as a pogo tester in a mine field!
Shoddy build if you ask me

Sid Squid 26-01-06 08:54 PM

I reckon I can get the seat off.

Which errr...means I'll be there.

Stig 26-01-06 09:29 PM

Due to a very sticking front brake and a very jerky throttle, I have inadvertently scrubbed all the rest of the meagre tread that I had left on the rear wheel off. Due to this and the fact that I can not afford a new tyre until pay day. I shall not be there this week.

Now I know that you will find it difficult to have such a good time whilst I'm not there, but do not worry I shall be there the Friday after  .

Besides have you seen the weather forcast for Friday? Bloody brass monkeys I tell yah!

empty 26-01-06 11:29 PM

Hopefully I shall make an appearance, although on foot and late (finish work at 10:30, off to club in Camden). That is if everyone hasn't frozen to death or been snowed in (weather.com predicting a flurry possible in Wandsworth).

Bbbbbrrrrrrrrrrr.....

That's me and Big Ape, that is.

Despite the above, I may still pop along though! I quite fancy watching a 'seat-off' between Jambo and other spanner-wielding hunks.

I'd offer to take part in the competition. But those who saw me trying to get the hang of replacing my Arai visor last summer will know that it's probably best that I leave that sort of thing to the experts...

TSM 27-01-06 08:24 AM

I might make a magical apearance.

Spiderman 27-01-06 09:50 AM

Its not that cold now that i'm in town.

this was my road this morning....

jambo 27-01-06 01:33 PM

Where abouts....

Hello everyone,
I work in Fleet Street, not far at all. Drive home up through North London-if anyone has been shocked by a Silver SVS sporting Purple Neons shining over the back wheel whizzing by. Its a bit of an easy way to be noticed...........
I am currently trying to let go of my overtake rage which occures the second someone attempts to get past me.
Its taking a few years.........I do manage it now and again.
I was wondering where abouts do you guys meet up in Soho?

I think i may have seen you actually. That purple neons over the back wheel on a silver pointy rings a bell.

See this http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=31067 for all the info and a map of the location.

Usually better to have someone guide you in as the one way system around there is a bit confoosing....even if you've lived in London all your life

Let us know which direction you are coming in from as there is uaualy someone coming that way who can lead you in. Or get to Shaftsbury av and call one of us and we'll come get ya.
