AR 06 - Who's all going?

Hi,

Just a thought but if there is a few of us going down to the Annual Ride-Out it may be usefull to plan for a joint ride down ??

I'm currently planning to take the Friday off work and go down at a (relatively) leisurely pace, stay for two nights and head back on the Sunday. Can't decide whether to do the camping or book a B&B at the moment.

Thoughts anybody?

carelesschucca 28-01-06 05:45 PM

I'm keen to go this year, so would be happy to join a combined ride down.

Not worried whether it's camping or B&B, but I refuse point blank to be subjected to Grant's snoring again!!!

oh that makes a change.

the campsite where we are staying is in the grounds of a pub. sounds ideal. there was mention of those who live local bringing along bbqs etc should be a right laugh provided weather is nice.

Blue Flame 29-04-06 04:14 PM

Lovely day so I've had a practice putting up the tent I got off e-bay.

Took me a wee while but then I was doin it one handed.

Not bad for £40.

Plenty of room for a crate or two of beer

Bairn wants to do a sleepover tonight with the neighbours kids so it looks like i'm pulling an 'all-nighter'

Anonymous 29-04-06 04:36 PM

cool tent. i bought a wee one for some biking occasion and it said 1/2 man tent. i thought it meant it was able to fit one or two men (ever the optimist) and it must mean half man tent its tiny. used it to keep helmet and bags dry and bunked in with dd. the hardship of it all

Godikus 03-05-06 07:22 PM

I'll definetly be there with le misses, but i'll just meet you all down there. the misses has bad knees so can' stay on the back too long so i've been orderd to "blast" down so i don't have to stop so much  ... who am i to disobey orders

carelesschucca 03-05-06 11:02 PM

Where did you get that tent???

If anyone needs a lend of a tent, you're welcome to mine... I'll need to give it a bath, it got quite a lot of Mystery Liquid X thrown on it at Reading. Soy milk, we think. But it's a good tent.

Excellent :thumleft: so when do you reckon you'll be riding again?

Blue Flame 09-05-06 04:31 PM

I am aiming for the beginning of June at the latest. Hopefully the wrist and back will have strengthened enough by then.
