VTW1N would be nice... :D

Balky001 02-02-06 01:24 PM

Being Essex based there's quite a few personal plates about - I saw the number plate PEN 1 S on a Merc many years ago (must have downsized to a SMART car, no pun intended). The was a CUP 1 D too and a guy in Southend used to have JUL18N on his 928S. The blondes in a Merc convertable had HOP IN on the plate and I must admit I was tempted!. Guy I worked with had C6UNT on his GSXR which just looked rude even though I guess it doesn't spell anything! I was going to get B4LKY but then thought better of it

JakeRS 02-02-06 01:25 PM

I was more thinking

S650 SVS

Skip 02-02-06 01:29 PM

M3 BMW lives not far from here and a guy here at work has Y4 MRL which he has doctored to look like YAM R1 - no prizes for guessing the bike its on!

Cloggsy 02-02-06 01:33 PM

I want CL 06 GSY :D

Thats cool! 8)

My sister bought M111 TJS for her new Mini 3 years ago - seems to be popular to have M111 on new Minis as not long after that they all went up in price!

Just out of interest Tricky - how and where did you sell it?

tricky 02-02-06 01:45 PM

http://www.regtransfers.co.uk/

They're ok but they do take quite a large cut for advertising it on their site

Anonymous 02-02-06 02:15 PM

Best one i saw was up at squires about a year ago.

It was something like:

S88 YOU

But he had yellow screws holding it in. They were placed in the "8"'s so it looked like:

SEE YOU

Highly illegal im sure, but good for blasting through speed cameras with!

Spiderman 02-02-06 02:18 PM

There used to be a classic Ferrari 308gts (the one magnum had if youre old enough to remember magnum that is) with BUL 541T

Mess with the 5 and 4 a bit and you got bul****.

Classy i thought

Last Action Pimp 02-02-06 03:02 PM

XOC15T (Exocist)

A Bentley with:

TUR80 R

A Countach with:

L4MBO

Warren 02-02-06 03:39 PM

there is a really old rusty 206 round this way with the number plate "jalopy" or "sh*tter" or something.

timwilky 02-02-06 03:53 PM

At Squires I have seen an R1 with R16 ONE but with strategic plastic bolt to read R1 GONE

cuffy 02-02-06 05:21 PM

Jdubya 02-02-06 07:30 PM

There's a sikh bloke round here who drives a focus with the reg MR 51NGH :)

philipMac 02-02-06 07:36 PM

In the US the reg's here often have a logo or something in between the two words:
http://www.geocities.com/lpmuseum/florida1981-89.jpg

I saw "Thug Life" on a Florida reg'd car, in a smarter than average nod to the classic gangsta
"Thug <picture of gun> Life"
tattoo.

I smiled anyway

SVeeedy Gonzales 02-02-06 08:20 PM

I've seen A 5HED (at least I think that was the way it was done) on an Audi...

If anyone is thinking of getting KN08 END in a few years time, hands off, I saw it first.

Someone already beat me to KN03 END

rigor 02-02-06 08:44 PM

El Saxo 03-02-06 03:37 PM

I got a junk mail letter a while back from a company that deals in private reg plates, offering to sell me S4XON for about £2500! They must have just sent the letter to every 'Saxon' in the phone book cos my dad & my 2 uncles got the same letter. Cheeky gits, i bet it only cost about £200 off the DVLA...

Cloggsy 03-02-06 03:41 PM

I saw my initials one in the Telegraph one weekend...

CAG1 or 1CAG

£25,000

Yeah right...

Dicky Ticker 03-02-06 03:57 PM

As per

One of my mates has a Volvo soft-top with V8LVO with a yellow plastic screw in the middle of the 8
Another mate has a new Jaguar soft-top with EXC1T with a white screw on the front plate to read "excit"

Being a vain old git myself I have A 15 WMK on the bike, WMK being my initials
this is the fifth bike I have had it on
