Doing a massive backfire to impress young lads

I'm not very good at wheelies and stoppies, but when I'm riding the Buell I notice that if I hold it at about 4000rpm in first gear and then quickly hit the kill switch whilst opening the throttle, I can make the bike produce the most massive backfire - and a jet of flame about 5 metres long from the exhaust.

If I did this in a town centre, would it impress fit young boys - and particularly the delicious Guy Owen - or just make them rush home to get Mummy to wash their underthings?

(I did try this in Tonbridge Wells a short while back. Alas, I only managed to incinerate a small West Highland Terrier that was on the pavement, whilst bending the offside strut of its owner's zimmer frame. I believe it has an adverse effect on pacemakers within a 200 meter radius too, but no-one has yet complained of that....although since they were likely to be dead, I suppose they wouldn't, would they?)

James! You naughty boy!!!   You may be 55 but there's obviously still some life left in you....if, perhaps, not enough for me.

Camilla,

May I suggest that if you wish to impress young lads like Guy, that you get yourself down to Total Fitness where I believe Guy is attempting to make his bike go faster. I am sure the sight of you in your lycra will give him all the incentive he needs.

You impress me sweety..............what i want to know though is how you just NOTICE that you can get a backfire by holding it at 4000rpm & hitting the kill switch.

I bet if the Queen had a motorcycle she wouldnt do a backfire. I bet the other Camilla (Poker-Bowles) would tho.

If your buell could do a 15ft long backfire flame, i would pay to see that. What you running, Nitro Methonol?

Camilla, I don't believe it could do your chances any harm, although you may want Guy to stop standing on the tank first, you wouldn't want him to fall off in surprise!. Go for it.
