Not a good day to have come in on the bike :D It wasn't snowing when I left home, now it's like the North Pole here, huge globby flakes... and it's sticking :(

Foey 28-02-06 10:46 AM

Blue sky & sunny here at the mo, had about six flakes of snow first thing.

Anonymous 28-02-06 10:54 AM

All clear in York.

Sunny, slighty breeze (chilly with that wind chill) but out of the wind its actually quite warm.

Not a cloud in site, clear blue skies.

Snow.... not sure if i want it or not.

:?

huge 28-02-06 10:57 AM

Wot's snow?

Brighton's famous for white powder but I've never heard of snow! :P

Cumfy 28-02-06 10:57 AM

We've got about 4inches snow here.Took 2 hours to do the 20 mile commute and passed 5 cars well off the road( all 4x4s!)
All 4x4 drivers up here suddenly think there machine is indestructible and can do anything- problem usually is that the person behind the wheel can't.

Rant over

Hope I can get the heating to work soon- its 6C in the shop right now

timwilky 28-02-06 11:01 AM

blue skies with a few whisps of cloud. damm cold though otherwise I would be abusing my working from home. Oh I am, must get back to knife&forking a servlet

silent 28-02-06 11:04 AM

feels a bit like summer here, (although a bit colder admittedly!)

Its STILL bright clear skies, not one cloud around, the skie is a deep deep blue. Get out of that wind and it would pass for late spring.

:P

Iansv 28-02-06 03:26 PM

Few tiny flurries this morning here, nothing since, Right on the border here of where they've said snow's going to hit so hopefully might get away with it.

Still snowing....anyone for a snowball fight? :D

Biker Biggles 28-02-06 05:33 PM

A few odd flurries here but nothing to write home about.I'm off to deepest Kent tomorrow but I'll take the car cos I'm a woosey old fart and don't fancy getting cold or snowed in.Oh and I've got something bulky to pick up so I've a good excuse too.

Pretty grim up here in whitby today. Its been the worst weather i've every worked in in the past 5 years. Got damed scary at one point up on the cliff top while posting my letters. A blizzard blew in from the sea, thunder and lighing all around me, thought my numbers were up when i saw a flash of lighting whizz past me as i was blown down the street. The thunder was that loud i actually thought one of the buildings was been blown down. Got my fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow.

speedygirl 28-02-06 10:48 PM

walked home from work this afternoon and got caught in snow/hailstorm!! coat/bag/pockets full of kind of soggy hailstones. glad not on bike - hope no one had any nasty experiences with the white stuff...

Lol...........brings back memories. We had the bike booked in at JHS Racing in Bristol in Feb last year for it's 30,000 mile service. Left home and it was very cold but dry. Got near Cirencester and ran into snow. We spent 2 hours parked up at an island waiting for the roads to clear enough to be able to carry on. Was amusing watching all the cage drivers slipping and sliding, although we felt sorry for the poor guy who hit a lamp post.

And more damn snow. Although when I drove S to school out near where Daryl B lives, only a few miles down the road but in the hills, there was hardly a flake.
