I had a snoop, here's a safe link (I think):

filecabi.net/t/hotlink7n****v6:)sj/1116889473.wmv

But you'll need to copy and paste as PHPBB doesn't want to play ball linking correctly.

Ouch! Damage to the bike seemed quite extensive given the relatively minor crash.

I remember when i had my SV my dad wanted me to teach him. So i talked him through it step by step. He was going to move the bike in a straight line for about 5 meters.

Clutch in, 2nd selected (to prevent against what happened in that vid) then he wound in god knows how many RPM.. the sound of the can scared him and he couldnt shut off, he was kinda frozen. Thankfully he had presence of mind NOT to dump the clutch but wait for me to turn the engine off. Phew!

Talking of bike crashes... i found this. Sorry if its been posted before, but i beleive it deserves more airtime. I think its Randy Mamola. VERY impressive!

GYKD...I am open to be corrected but I think that is none other than the Roman Emperor himself in his 250 days.

  Biker run over coming around the corner...

I could be mistaken. I wasnt into motorbikes when the likes of Biaggi were on 250's. I remember seeing a clip a few years ago of Mamola performing an amazing save, similar to this one - hence why i thought it was himself - may be mistaken though?

Anyone confirm who this amazing rider is?

Jesus. He took that very well didnt he?
An A for effort.

When I binned the SV (thank you conveniently placed rock on corner) all I needed was a new rad and front wheel. And I was considerabley more vexed than that guy.

Ha ha ha. I got a loan of a FZR750 and my dad was sort of looking at it, having a bit of a think. He drove a 100cc two stroke about 20 years ago.
I think I made up some excuse and hid it out the road somewhere.

Can't really tell by the quality of the vid but I think the bike had been pre-disastered to a certain degree.

WTF is going on with that helmet ?

I noticed that, thought i was seeing things! WTF is that all about?

Yeah the bike seemed pretty mullered even before they started.. Surprised it knackered the rad up though... seemed to fall flat on its side, didnt hit a curb or anything.
