Nope, the toolbox gets in the way & will eventually rub a hole in the hugger
Needs to be a K4+ hugger

Keep an eye on eBay- I picked up a color matched OEM hugger for my K-5 for less than $60 USD. Patience is the watchword, and do not fear the international shipping, I've had good luck getting bits from the UK. Just note the feedback score.

The alternative to an OEM for me was Ermax.
Quality and looks looked good but in the end I opted for the OEM which is perfect in fit and colour match, a few extra quid though.

Suzuki listed there Huggers by the year so I assume you need to order that right year for your Bike unless you are happy to start hacking to make it line up/fit properly.

I've recently sold the hugger I had on my SV K3 and there is a difference between huggers for the K3 and for the K4+ I'm afraid.

Personally, I would suggest saving and getting the OEM one, they really are good.

This hugger business is getting a bit confusing as to which years are / aren't the same, if you believe the companies that make them...

Anyone fitted a non-OEM hugger to a K5 yet?

I fitted a matt black Ermax hugger to my K5. Think it was about £80. It fits OK although I have been unable to put the front securing screw in as it needs to go quite far foward to clear the tyre. Still have the 2 side securing screws in though so not a problem.

Got this one as it seemed to be the cheapest alternative at the time to an OEM one and as the frame/wheels etc.. are matt black on the K5 I wasn't too concerned about a colour-matched one.

If you can afford an OEM one I'm sure its better but the Ermax one does a decent enough job too.
