There's no "stay at home and do somethingmoreboringinstead" option?

Sadly I won't be trundling down... My newly self-employed status unfortunately means that I'm having to cut back on some of the costs of socialising for a wee while until I'm up and running properly. Hopefully it won't last too long though!

I would have dropped by this evening, just woken the SV upfrom its winters sleep today and have been shaking it down, but Kaddie says its going to be raining by 9pm - and since I've never got the SV wet yet It'll have to be next time, or Box Hill.

lynw 29-03-06 10:02 PM

Amazing. 6 SVs at the triple meet... :P

Nice to say hello to people again, apologies to those I met a long time ago but had forgotten I had  I will get to chat with you BBC sometime but nice to meet you anyway. :D

Not a fun trip home in the rain, but at least the bike got washed :D

Jdubya 29-03-06 10:09 PM

Have to agree with Lyn there...nice to see some 'old' faces again and also nice to see some 'new' faces  Maybe I wont leave it for another year before I go to another Selkent meet

rigor 29-03-06 10:34 PM

Yup, nice to see everyone there. MT, good to see that the insurance company decided to let you have the both the fastest shape (Pointy) and the fastest colour (Silver) SV as your hire bike

On a side note, a little more rain would be appreciated on the way home, although the fog was a nice touch. And I'm sure my neighbours appreciated me setting the house alarm off when I finally got home, it lets them know I'm back safe and sound :P

Anyway, see you all at the next one (probably :D )

Viney 30-03-06 07:21 AM

Wicked ride back, the rain made life interesting indeed, but the drifting fog backs over the common, were awesome, great fun, had a real buzz going by the time I hit home, what with the 2 hour ride to get down there and the quality company, a good night out.

Cheers Mark.

empty 30-03-06 12:27 PM

A fun night, ride home was, well, interesting, the only part of my gear that didn't leak was my leather jacket (?) and was my first experience of a naked bike on the motorway. Which was quite fun, even in the rain.

sexysi 31-03-06 08:41 AM

Something came up at the last min, so couldn't make it, at least that was one less Kawaski at an SV meet

It is the fastest shape sv, and its only the fastest colour because there is less paint wieghing the bike down :P :P

It was nice to see everyone, my ride home was longer than normal, when they shut the A22 to Purley for road works!!!
