What I won't Miss

When I move out on Thursday

The neighbours
The kids constantly kicking the ball into my garden
My windows being smashed
the door being kicked in
hotline i seem to have to Lancashire Constabularly
going away and dreading coming home in case some git has smashed up the flat
The constant fight I have with WLDC to get anything done

Think thats it

UlsterSV 02-04-06 08:28 AM

We in Lancashire will miss you. However, please take you neighbours with you as we don't particularly want to keep them.

The 1970s new towns have been a disaster, they uprouted people from the tradional communities who knew how to deal with their own, and forced them upon decent law abbiding people who didn't realise the only way to sort them out was to use their own methods of violence, intimidation etc.

The scum bag that caused my youngest daughter 2 years of misery was a "plastic Scouser" from Skem. His all family were evicted from from their housing association property for a "Breach of Tenacy" and he "moved in" with her. Robbed her many times, beat her up weekly, and I ended up "persuading" him to leave. He returned 4 times to smash her windows. Would hit her on the street as she returned to her flat from college, She was finally rehoused because of his intimidation so he would not know where she lived. The local police seemed very reluctant to act. When she did finally retaliate and bit him whilst he was attacking her. He made a complaint of assault against her. I just don't understand the mentality of some people who think they have a god given right to distroy others quality of life.

You could have had a lovely little flat with nice garden, I am sorry that you leave feeling forced out.

SH!T Tim, wish we'd have know, we'd all have gone round i hate B**tards like this, i presume it was a long time ago??

timwilky 02-04-06 11:22 AM

Carl, My daughters problems were principly resolved when did what every father would love to do and that is to give his daughters boyfriend a smack. OK initially it caused all sorts of family proplems because she sided with her boyfriend, but eventually realised that dad was right, I then thumped him a second time after my wife caught him hitting her. However, violence is never the answer. It just made me feel better.

The issue really is why should a lady who lives on her own like Tara be subjected to harrassment, bullying and vandalism etc. What gives anyone the right to make people fearful of living in their own homes. Whilst we can all dish out instant justice, people have to live with the consequences. The scum come back, vindictive and seeking revenge for their humiliation (Daughters windows are a classic example).

Tara, I hope your move down south is successful, and that you find all the happiness you desire. Hurry up and find new accomodation, as I am looking forward to the house/flat warming :drink:

falc 02-04-06 11:24 AM

Cant wait T, the sooner your down here the better, that place is awful and never like coming back down here leaving you there. But very soon you'll be out of there and with me :D

That is awful Tim, I hate it when stuff like this happens but unfortantly its not the odd case but this crap happens all the time and the police cant seem to do jack all to sort it out simply as the guy will get released or whatever and be worse than ever. Chances are that guy has found someone else to "move in" with and so the cycle will continue.

GSXR Carlos 02-04-06 11:26 AM

long trip for a house warming party, Tara are you looking to live down there permanently?

Good luck with it all

But Tim, sometimes it's all these people understand. I know it's wrong and shouldn't be encouraged, but eventually they realise that there are "no go" areas for them too... Only problem is that they're generally so thick you have to do it a few times before they come to their senses...

Tara, look forward to welcoming you to the South, just remember, it's not considered good manners for ladies to drink pints down here

Good luck with the move Tara.

Wondered where you were living for it to be so bad (WLDC = West Lebanon District Council ??) I have relatives in Skem and I know parts of it are rough but I was surprised how bad things were.

All the best Keith
