You ARE joking...... right?

Viney 11-04-06 12:11 PM

The bluey/silver one looks really nice in the plastic, but the light blue one, is orrible! The dark silver and dark blue are fairly ok.

diamond 11-04-06 12:12 PM

Hideous all of them and even worse in the flesh i should imagine

Iansv 11-04-06 12:15 PM

The silvery one is ok, the others are awful....

Biker Biggles 11-04-06 12:23 PM

You have to wonder about senior management don't you. These people are paid fortunes to get this right so how come they don't produce a black one?Last year's black SV sold out really quickly and you could'nt get one anywhere so one would assume they could make a killing by re-introducing it.Or am I just dim?

james160987 11-04-06 01:04 PM

hate the light blueish grey ish one, yep should have done a black one

JakeRS 11-04-06 01:05 PM

yuck yuck yuck yuck

Ceri JC 11-04-06 01:34 PM

They look rubbish. The grey one is okay (would look better if it was a darker granite grey), but other than that they're awful.

First axing the naked thou and now this, Suzuki seem determined to kill the SV off! :D

jambo 11-04-06 02:00 PM

dark blue SV1000S get it before they stop making it, that looks class.... All the others should be quickley, and efficiently transported to a quality spray shop of your choice

fizzwheel 11-04-06 02:05 PM

The only SV I would buy of this years colours is the Black K6 1000 SVS. They have one in my local dealer and its a great looking bike. All the rest IMHO look orrible.

keithd 11-04-06 02:10 PM

guff.

next......

mudge32 11-04-06 02:34 PM

They must like keeping Crescent and Cupars well in with their sprayshops

Peter Henry 11-04-06 02:55 PM

So have they dumped the black frame then? I thought that was one of the best moves they made with the pointy version. :?

All the K6 models I've seen in dealers have the black frame

Flamin_Squirrel 11-04-06 03:14 PM

I quite like the light blue/grey one. Saw one in the flesh so to speak, looked nice.

Halonic 11-04-06 03:25 PM

oh dear god

pastel SV's?

I ride a bike, not a dulux reject

I believe the only other similarly coloured bike on the market at this time is the new Deauville

Thats not a good association in my mind

mac608 11-04-06 04:29 PM

The first one is "Teal" blue and was done on the bandits in 97/98. Guess they've gallons left over :D

chewy22 11-04-06 04:37 PM

So are they or are they not discontinuing the SV1000 range then. http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.ph...883&highlight= They are brining out new colours for 2006 yet they tell a Suzuki dealer here that they are not restocking the SV1000s or naked model. It’s a bit confusing all this.

As far as i know they are only stopping the naked sv1000 due to poor sales

The Basket 11-04-06 04:47 PM

Like the Gunmetal 1000.

The 650's colours are garbage. I'm sure Honda pick the colours for Suzuki.

Yep no more naked SV thou, They are still making the SVS thou though. They have two new ones in my local dealer. K6 black frame, is "full power" the BHP is the same as last years ltd edition SZ was.

chewy22 11-04-06 06:18 PM

You sure where did you here about this as our resedent forum suzuki dealer said "informed that there are going to be no more SV1000's faired or unfaired"

I cant be 100% sure about the unfaired. However as I said I've seen two a Red and a Black SVS 1000's in my local dealer V & J Suzuki in Mudford.

The SVS thou is also in this years 2006 catalogue that the dealer gave me when I was looking to buy a new bike. Its black framed like the K6 650 is.

Is this news? That horrible aquamarine's been out for absolutely ages, so's the light grey, surely?

Frank O 11-04-06 07:01 PM

Having seen a couple of these colours in the flesh yesterday at a dealers, I can confirm that they do look pretty damn nasty!

Besides, Everyone knows that they are best left unpainted

Silver!-Silver!-Silver!-Silver!-Silver!

Kate 11-04-06 07:09 PM

I kinda like the grey and the darkest blue. Pastel colours though is a no no, would be hard to say until seen in the flesh so to speak.

Yes you are correct those colours were announced last year but the more important point is they are only now been distributed amongst dealers. So why drop a bike from sale when you have a new colour range for sale on both models?

That's not right either, I saw a seafoam one, oh, months ago, and they were out in the US a good few months ago too.

Lee Rainbow 11-04-06 10:16 PM

Perhaps suzuki are trying to attract more girly girls to bikes no offence ladies on here you obviously have good taste, I personally cant see anybody in their right mind riding an sv in those colours perhaps except for the gunmetal sv 1000 which does look pretty sweet.

But guys you know blue is blue not "light sky blue" thats what i tell my wife anyway we we go shopping for paint!!!

thepyrofish 11-04-06 11:54 PM

The second one (sky blue) looks nice and the grey one is good too but the rest are horrible.

Fizzy Fish 12-04-06 05:18 AM

using up paint I'd say!

Steve_God 18-04-06 10:06 AM

Hey... I've got the 2nd one (Silver with Blue tint) and I think it looks mint :P

Admittedly the pictures do look naff, but see them in the flesh and do them justice :)

chewy22 18-04-06 04:34 PM

Mine after new winter paint job. http://www.sv1000.zyns.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=19510
