Sorry, for a moment i thought i heard you suggest switching from Stella to Guiness?

Now why would i want to do that? Change from Stella, the king of lagers (no, not budwiser), to Guiness.. a dark horrid substance which tastes of.... well, water!?

:?

because Stella is full of cack and chemicals and always gives me a nasty hangover.

Guiness is an acquired taste and also most pubs have no f*cking idea how to keep and pour it.

Both have there place in the world Stella and Guinness

The Light is good but i am drawn to the dark side.

I keep telling Mrs Wyrdness that there's only about 200 calories in a pint.

Trouble is when you have 8 pints and then go for a ruby, it adds up to a lot of calories.

Guinness is one of the worst stouts you can buy - mass produced in chemical factories. There's many, far better stouts out there. The best I've had recently is Espresso Stout.

Nobody in the south maybe, i dont have to travel far for an excellent pint of guinness (according to my grandad).

Wouldnt mind goin to ireland and getting a real pint of guinness apparently it tastes different.

Its all brewed in Dublin now so it should taste the same.

And the side affect of Guiness means you loose even more weight the morning after :smt104

I don’t like the extra cold Guinness as much, it feels like
having an alcoholic slush puppy in your belly.

That is correct, however Guiness, like a few other beers, doesnt travel well.

So by shipping it across the world, it loses its taste. Therefore the stuff in Ireland tastes more like the real guiness than the stuff in say London, mainly because the stuff down south has had to travel.

Is it only me that thinks Guiness is absolutely rank :?:

No i agree with you. Well it isnt rank - i just doesnt taste of anything. Or so i thought - it was just really watery.

Gimme a lager anyday.

Both good in their own respect.

To change the subject on very slightly.

Has anyone seen of or had a pint of the new Kronenberg White stuff?

I've yet to see a quality establishment serving it.
