Poole Quay for Bristol Mofos in July?

I know a few of us were talking about this in the pub.. but I have been thinking how about doing this say 4th July take half a day off and go down there.. I want to go into bournemouth to get new leathers so would kill a couple of birds with one stone!!

How does that date suit people!?

valleyboy 19-05-06 10:18 AM

Sounds like a plan..... will probably end up taking the entire day off anyway.. and next day to recover....

Scoobs 19-05-06 10:22 AM

I may take half a day as well (even though I don't need to) and we could meet up prior to the evening for a pie and a pint somewhere.

valleyboy 19-05-06 10:24 AM

going to have to change my diet from pie and chips at some point... steak and chips will do

It's just a saying. Pie and a glass of orange juice doesn't roll off the tongue as well.

Beenz 19-05-06 12:06 PM

Sounds like a possibility, unless I'm washing my hair

Viney 19-05-06 12:08 PM

I might be up for that, even though i dont live in Bristol, but i should be off the day after as its my Birfday on the 5th :D

I don't actually. I know the Quay and that is about it. I am sure we could arrange a meeting place though.

I will need to check next week. Thats a busy week for me and then I split for europe on the 7th or 8th

Edit....I'm busy until about 3.30pm that afternoon, but could catch you later in Poole as I'd be there by 5.30 I suppose. Weather permis, of course

andyb 23-05-06 11:38 AM

Hi guys,

Dont want to hi-jack the thread but there is a Weatherspoons right on the quay that do a deal on food/drink on bike nights.

Hope this helps

tee jey 23-05-06 06:25 PM

But it's not as good as the Oyster Quay    ,believe me.

.

fraser01 02-06-06 03:06 PM

*BUMP*

So whats happening with this, who is definately going?

:D

fizzwheel 02-06-06 03:16 PM

I'm on Holiday that week, If any of you lot want to meet up somewhere and follow me into Poole let me know.

I wont be hanging about speed wise though so you have been warned. Its best to get there early especially if its a hot day as its busy then and if you get there late you have to park in the overflow carpark and walk back to the Quay and its a bit of a trek.

Oh and stick a £1 coin to your yoke or somewhere you can get easy access to it, saves messing about when you get the Marshalls and the entrance.

anna 02-06-06 03:29 PM

looks like I will now be in Wales that day for a training course and it doesnt finish till 5 so it will be a bit to late for me to treck that far :(

Beenz 19-06-06 12:27 PM

Scoobs 10-07-06 10:04 AM

Are you Mofo's gonna sort it out and get down to the Quay then or what?

anna 10-07-06 10:20 AM

Depends which way you come. It takes me an hour to get to Poole from Yeovil. I reckon if you come down the A37 then on a week day that it going to take you an hour to get to Yeovil from Bristol.

You really need to try and get to Poole by 6:30, 6:45 ish on a hot day as it gets busy and if you get put in the overflow carpark its a huge walk back to the Quay.

You'll need £1 to get in. Get some tape and stick it onto your fork yoke that way you dont have to rumage in your pockets for it when you get to the front of the queue.

anna 10-07-06 10:30 AM

If we're going it will have to be setting out after 5 so getting there for 6.30 may be pushing it but we could try to.....

cuffy 10-07-06 11:50 AM

Afternoon peep's
Hope you all had fun at AR06...not jealous at all

The move went as well as can be expected, back too work now so i can have a well deserved rest :D

Hopefully we'll be available for a rideout soon...soon as i get chain n sprocket set fitted anyway.

Beenz 10-07-06 12:21 PM

Good to hear the moves all done Cuffy.

You missed a great AR06 weekend. Definitely going to go next year now.

We'll have to arange things with the Brizzle lot to do the Poole run.

Welcome back to the mad house

DanDare 10-07-06 01:54 PM

Has a date been organised yet????? :?

squirrel_hunter 10-07-06 03:48 PM

The trip shouldn't be to long I think it was about 1 1/2 hours when I went last year. But that was starting in Sunny Swindon.

So I would reckon about the same, lets do it
