SORRY I DROPPED THE RESERVE BY £300 NOT £200! ALSO OPEN TO OFFERS FOR A QUICK SALE SO GET IN TOUCH

How about dropping the reserve by £2000, instead? :)
I think his problem is that whilst some bits (eg braced (NOT custom) swingarm, GSX-R front end, etc.) are okay and would be a nice addition to an otherwise normalish bike, the bike as a whole doesn't really work and looks a bit outlandish, without being so over the top as to be attractive to people who like really garish bikes. I think he'd be better off breaking it for parts and think that anyone who buys it will end up doing just that.

I've only ever bought on ebay, so I don't know for sure, but am I right in thinking that it's costing him each time he relists this? I hope the poor bloke manages to sell it eventually. :?

The epsiode of how they made this is on Men & motors next Sunday at around half 2 in the morning! Should be, erm, intersting.

Yep, for bikes it can cost about £40 per go if you have it in the featured section as well. Ouch.

kwak zzr 05-06-06 03:59 PM

i'll record that :D

Perhaps there'll be a 5 minute "Epilogue" section of the show explaining how he has got on with the machine since it was first shown?

kwak zzr 05-06-06 04:16 PM

shall i contact him and tell him to check out parkers price guide and them deduct 50% cuz it looks a mess

I wouldn't. Last time someone drew his attention to our more "realistic" suggestion of pricing for it, he came and made a "toys out of the pram" post, making out the bike was brilliant, worth every penny, etc.

Its not that bad. If he took the orange fruit polo tyres off of it and put on the standard head light or a decent twin headlight setup it would look much better. If they hadnt painted "streetfighter" or whatever it is on the tail it would look a lot better to. There are some nice touches on that bike. GSXR K5 front end and the exhaust.

Trouble is most buyers like a standard bike with low miles on it. Unless he can find a buyer that it appeals to he isnt IMHO going to sell it.

Nothing is ever worth what you think it is.

I watched the show when they made this bike over (gave the bloke a makeover as well) - apart from the underseat exhaust i thought they had made it look worse.

So it isn't my monitor then? Those tyres are orange? FFS that's a big no if ever I saw one. Quiff might disagree though!

He might strike them with the tire pen as soon as he got them, though...

There are bits I like other bits I don't.

I really like the look of the exhaust coming out of the rear fairing. I absolutely hate the way they get there. If they had stuck a single sided swing arm on it and routed the pipe work properly it would have looked so much better.

I like the black frame and I gold gixxer forks. Tyres can be changed in a nano second so no problems there. Headlight is cack.

Looks ok "ish" from the the front, but side view it sticks out way too much from the forks.

New smaller compact clocks and different lights would transform it.

Overall I like it but would change some stuff if I had the money. Will anyone buy it :?: No idea. Too rich for my liking.

Razor 05-06-06 07:12 PM

I think we all pretty much agree that it needs further work and is way too expensive for what it currently is.

knirirr 06-06-06 02:08 PM

Most of it is horrible, but I rather like those orange tyres. Where can one get them from?

sharriso74 06-06-06 02:36 PM

Like the exhausts on it

svrash 06-06-06 02:39 PM

We should do a group buy and get it

I'll have first dibs on the frame and swingarm 8) .............the rest you lot can fight over

Those are Tomahawk remoulds- they come complete with a healthy dose of derision ;)

Black Rider 06-06-06 04:12 PM

Coloured tyres

Did anyone watch that episode of TopGear with the TVR and the coloured tyres?
They let off smoke the colour of the tyre when you do a burn out - Red arrows stylie!
Is it possible that they are a similar sort of thing?
