Grinch 22-06-06 10:49 AM

Don't know what I'm doing at the moment at its my birthday on the 23rd... though thats one hell of a puncture... even with the huge pics.

Viney 22-06-06 10:50 AM

Ouch!

I shall be hooning off in a westerly direction towards Gods country for the weekend.

Rider 22-06-06 10:52 AM

Yup - count me in. Will you be bringing bringing that nail along in show/tell fashion?

jambo 22-06-06 11:07 AM

I take it we're not having any dial-up users coming this friday then

That's impressive Ness, but I had a similar one patched about 5000 miles ago no worries 8)

Spiderman 22-06-06 11:12 AM

 Just how the heck do you get that in there? You took the tyre off and did this yourself didnt you?

Yeh i'll be there as usual, earlyish too.

CoolGirl 22-06-06 11:15 AM

In the absence of anything better to do, yes.

Might need to get me a ride home as usual....

Kate 22-06-06 11:17 AM

Thats an impressive puncture!

Mr Toad 22-06-06 11:21 AM

only if my radiator turns up from fleaBay in time

Fizzy Fish 22-06-06 11:28 AM

sorry about the pic size, I'm a bit of a retard when it comes to anything technical! feel free to PM me with instructions to how to make them smaller...

i left the screw behind for some daft reason, but i think I might have a look on the pavement to see if it's still there on the way in on Friday! it's kind of like a hunting trophy

TSM 22-06-06 01:32 PM

Riz all sorted for you.

Ile be there, hopefully.

rictus01 22-06-06 02:12 PM

Ness, be thankful, I had the same thing a few weeks back, went round in the tyre and sliced the Harris carbon hugger to bits.

but easily fixed.

I'm a try for friday, I'll stop At Soho on my way up to Enfield (if it makes it).

Cheers Mark.

Stig 22-06-06 02:26 PM

I shall be there with Mrs Ape for the 2nd week in a row.

jonboy 22-06-06 03:58 PM

Nope not tomorrow, but next week's almost definite. Almost  .

Cazza 22-06-06 05:06 PM

Nice work Ness - were you thinking of hanging the bike up, or attaching it to something...?

I won't be there this week as I'll be getting on down to the groovy sounds of Massive Attack et al at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park.

Next week: southern Italy for a wedding.

So see you all at AR06 it looks like. :D

oh, it did have a go at my hugger - think I can salvage it though. What I'm most thankful for is that it happened in just before the A3 starts to open up, rather than at ton +

Anyway all sorted now, so am definitely on for Friday night!! :D :D

TSM - cheers! could let me know what to do with the pics for next time, otherwise I'll keep messing up

Have a great time at the gig & I'll catch you an AR06. Shall we meet up somewhere are ride up together? There must be a few going from the London area...or maybe I should start another post in the AR06 section...

That looks like it's come from inside-out

Spiderman 23-06-06 11:50 AM

Just to make you feel better RizlaSV.....

Ive had to take the morning off work to go and get a puncture repair. Only 2 days after fitting the tyre on too. :(

But at least the bike oassed the MOT no problems and the MOT guy even kindly fixed the dodgy earth connection to my headlight free of charge so its actualy bright enough to light the road for me now.
I'd always thought it was a little dull. Now i know why.

Anyway, i'm still up for tonite and looks like i'll be leading a certain Ceri in too. I hope he's aware that newbies buy the coffees all night ;)
:D

Well as Mick (Mr Essential Rubber) always says, "new tyre = puncture". Never a truer word spoken.

Rob S (Yella) 23-06-06 04:47 PM

Are you lot back in your proper home. (Frith Street)

Fizzy Fish 23-06-06 04:55 PM

yeah, back at Frith! Are you coming down Rob?

I'll be there a bit later than usual tonight. After showing several people the pics of my puncture, I've been shamed into washing my bike - yes you read that right!!!

I might just pop along, Yes

Bear 23-06-06 05:09 PM

Work is actually looking pretty quiet for the weekend, so I may be down around 9-ish. See you then. Ness: Can I borrow that nail? I'm going whale hunting this weekend and need a harpoon...

CoolGirl 23-06-06 10:56 PM

Curium - nice wheels 8)

Ceri - good to meet you :)

Sudoxe 24-06-06 06:58 AM

Intresting ride home, they had closed the roundabout next to walterloo station with the big building they are demolishing.

Follow the divesion signs...Now this is where I went wrong. I know a perfectly good route home avoiding the roundabout, but I thought the diversion may take me a better way.

Anyway, I got as far as Vauxhall bridge before decided that some git had gone arround changing the arrows on the diversion signs, worked out that the river was on my right and I didnt need to cross it again and kept going stright.

Ah well.

Dan
