Broken Wrist apprently

huge 23-06-06 10:02 AM

According to BBC Sport he dislocated an ankle and broke a bone in his hand.

Rossi says he will be taking part this weekend at Assen though last on grid!

Torrid season eh?

kciN 23-06-06 10:55 AM

I'm no big fan of Rossi. I don't dislike him, but he gets silly when he wins...

No Rossi = more chance of Capirossi/Stoner/Hayden/Pedrosa having a battle for first!!

Better!! :)

Peter Henry 23-06-06 12:01 PM

There is more chance of me registering a win at Assen this weekend than poor old Loris or Marco. It is obvious that they are physically suffering and will not be competitive.

It does though provide an opportunity for other to do well and for Nicky to create for himself a clear advantage. Surely on the face of it this is now a must win race for him? :?

Biker Biggles 23-06-06 12:21 PM

Casey Stoner's turn to win this week which will bunch up the championship a bit.He is as quick as the rest(apart from Rossi)but just needs to remain with bike to the end of the race.

Swiss 23-06-06 01:20 PM

Hummmm, Stoner does seem to have been at the James Haydon School of racing this season. Would be nice to see him fast and staying on the bike.

Peter Henry 23-06-06 01:47 PM

Not wishing to drop in to "I told you so mode" but this has always been an aspect of the way Casey rides. It cost him dear in the 250's and could do exactly the same in the main category if he does not learn when and where to push. He needs to speak to Sete! :P

its going to be hard to catch nicky now.

Peter Henry 23-06-06 06:28 PM

Kwak....That is assuming that Nicky grabs a whole bagful of points this weekend. Mr consistancy,it would be a brave man to bet against him being on the podium.Could be a HRC double whammy I think. 8)

I would like to see Hopper do better, or should I say the machinery that he is on.I have watched him for some time and he is a very good rider, it just seems like he never quite gets the "IN" bike at the time.Although this year there seems to be more than one "IN" bike, which is nice.
Hopper is a tryer, and I have always liked the riders that always seem to be on the edge, for example, Nori Haga, Chris Walker, etc etc etc
Anyway good luck to all this weekend.
