Hello from me!
I've posted a couple of times but wanted to introduce myself properly now that I've taken a picture of the bike.
She's a 2001 faired curvy with fairing replaced due to damage by a previous owner (fairing brackets still in place!) The headlight unit is one that I had lying around. When I got her, she had MX-bars but these have been replaced with bars from a 2000 bandit to help filtering. The headlight combined with the bar-end mirrors give it a bovine appearance so she has been christened "The Yak". The classy topbox is bolted straight through the pillion seat. I don't like boxes that hang way out the back of bikes and this was cheaper than buying a rear rack unit (picked up a cheap spare pillion seat on fleabay, along with a petrol tank for 99p!). I'll put a backrest cushion on it eventually to complete the look. I bought her as a commuter scooter as I like to pamper my Ducatis but she is pretty nippy and handles pretty well. I'm based in East London and can normally be seen filtering through the Limehouse Link around 6:40am and Commercial Road around 6:43am so wave if you spot me! Bar's open - what are you having? cheers, Chi http://upload4.postimage.org/480097/05_06_06_1820.jpg |

Nice bike, not sure about the eyes or the butt tho  |
Brilliant, it looks exactly like this:
http://www.needcoffee.com/html/guides/images/yak.jpg If that was my bike, I'd fit one of those novelty horns from M&P that plays animal noises. And I'd use it till it melted. Welcome aboard. http://www.comic-mint.com/media/clie...k-RS08_sml.JPG |
hello :D
|
thanks for the warm welcome all.
Spidey - the prettier she ain't, the faster I is! Everyone should have a friend called "Chi". When you combine it with my surname, you have the chinese equivalent of "John Smith"! Northwind - do they have one with a cow moo? I'm a buyer! Mister Biggles - it's not the back pain that gets me (they are Supersports so much more spacious than the superbikes) but the steering lock - or lack of - that reduces the fun in town. Tremendous fun on the track/open roads though! How do I get my location onto the "Users Map"? It looks like Caddy2000 lives 20 seconds away from me. |
Hello and welcome!

Hello.
I've think I've seen you around - I wondered if you'd drop by one day. |

Sid, you'll normally find me roaming Spitalfield's market / Truman Brewery where I work. I'm going to try and make it to one of the Soho Fridays soon so hope to see some of you there. Only problem is that Mrs Chicken insists that Baby Chicken (3 next week) needs a bath every night whether she needs one or not. What time do they normally start? |
Welcome to the loon farm :D
I must say that the mods are a tad different to the errr... norm. Those being zorst, tail tidy and tiddly winkers. Non of which has been done to mine.... yet  I was in Brick Lane for a curry the weekend before last, didn't spot an SV though. Is your place licenced? Most were not, we had to buy beer at the off licence next door. Ave a gud un. |
We are licenced...by the FSA! (it's a small stockbroking firm)
Most of the places are BYOB. Personally, I think there are better places in London for a curry but Brick Lane is a bit of an institution, innit?! |
hiya

How do.
Sure, she looks a little on the fugly side, but also kinda sad n cute at the same time. But then practicality wins I guess. |
