How to increase the value of a Ducati

(1) Find a friend who's considerate to throw his bike down the road (a 750 Supersport in the example below)

(2) Persuade said friend to donate the engine to you after the above accident.

(3) Spend £5000 & six months of evening & weekend work

And you just might end up with something like . . .

. . . THIS !! :D 8)

Love the quad! Seems to be a lot more on the roads here these days which is odd for a farm bike. This is my favourite though http://www.stiatv.co.nz/page2/atvindex.html

hehehehe....now everyone can get their knee down without fear of toppling over

Peter Henry 26-06-06 12:55 PM

The lever could be part of a reverse gear mechanism.

Damn, didn't spot that or else I'd have asked the owner :(

For anyone who might be interested, it was built by the Custom Quad Shack & will be up for sale very soon - somewhere in the region of £10 000 I believe.

Now, I think my missus would like one of them...

I reckon it's a parking brake - see how it's latched on.

I don't think it could have a reverse gear, the drive system is as normal - chain to rear sprocket, live axle straight off that - so there's nothing external, and I can't imagine there'd be room to do anything internal to add an idler for reverse rotation.

The quad looks like a really upmarket ride-on lawnmower, where do you put the grass box?
