GOOD WEEKEND GUYS????
Wow, brilliant weekend. Rode to West Wales with my m8. Took just over two hours to get there. Found a really quiet beach and set up for a few hours taking in the views. No cars, no people just us and our bikes - HEAVEN!!
Sat on the edge of the cliff watching the seals bob about in the clear water as we tried to catch a glimpse of some bottle-nosed dolphins which we sadly didn't see. What bout your weekend? Does it beat mine?? :D |
My weekend mainy consisted of BBQ's and Stella. was good, but yours sounded better.
|
Mine was OK Shopping and drinking wine
|
Sun, football (playing and coaching/watching :D ) and lots of wine........

Built a wall. Cleaned the house. Watched footy. No biking. Could have been better!
|
Track morning on saturday, in which I didn't die, so that's all good... Then got home, fixed my coolant leak and spent the afternoon bombing around picking things up and dropping things off (new leather trousers, Bandit 12 wheel), before retiring to my brother's house for a family meal. Lovely...
Then on sunday, back up to knockhill for the racing, then decided to waste the evening doing nothing at all. Which was also great. |
Sat, fixed toilet, built shelves, fitted loft ladder, washed bike.
Sun, rode to knockhill and back in the am, paintball in the pm, then beer and footie at night. Great :D |
Saturday - pick up new bike, got dumped in industrial estate by aforementioned bike hospital visit followed by soggy chip roll and beer.
Sunday - Knockhill by other bike to watch the racing, spent most of the afternoon asleep got sunburnt went to pick up other bike but couldn't cos battery in alarm fob failed, hospital visit in leathers (not a good idea far too hot) home for beer and more takeaway. Not a bad weekend in all :) |
Varnished a couple of doors....chopped down an out of control tree/bush thingy that was about to mutate into a triffid...had a bottle of Duchy Ale...bought some printer paper from PC world (bogof! £9.98 for 4 packets)...took broken vacuum cleaner part back to shop - got replacement for free - put kids to bed - had bottle of London pride (yummy!)...did some stuff...and some other stuff...went to bed.

I had an EXCELLENT weekend, I bought a boat, and spent all day on the river, then the evening sewing up the sail I ripped
But all was well, and my youngster took it for it's first race on Sunday, when she promptly sailed it into the bank - but there was no wind and couldn't do anything about it. But what an ace time, and I ache so much! Trouble is I'm now torn between the bike and dinghy. Juicy - where in West Wales did you go, as we sail around there alot. Nutty Lou x |

New Quay has a harbour where you can go on boat trips around the coastline. New Quay is very touristy though, with one way systems through narrow windy roads and lots of little shops selling sticks of rock and buckets and spades!! I guess you'll have the best spot to see the dolphins on a boat. The water is so clear in West Wales you would think you're abroad. Well worth the trip. Your little one will LOVE IT there. :D |
Arrived home on Sat afternoon after spending two great weeks on the bike going to Barcelona ( via France ) to watch the GP :D
Oh well, back to work :( |

Juicy, we tend to go around St Davids, can't wait to get 'The Fat Lady' sailing around St Brides Bay.
Now I wonder if I can get the bike in the boat to tow it down there   Nutty Lou x |

Just a busy time of year for me, other comittments, etc. |
Worked on Sat,but Sunday off so went to Brands Hatch to watch some racing. No closer racing than seeing three bikes cross the line with 0.03 seconds between them.Still not sure who won.
Spent the evening helping my son fix his SV which has developed a front cylinder misfire(yawn)but it's not a wet plug :?: :?: :?: Today----Son borrows our other SV for work and I trace short in his wiring loom. |

Worked till 2pm on sat, then a short nap, then bbq at 5pm with way too much steak, sausage and beer.
Out to boxhill on sunday morning for brekkie then messed about on the lanes from boxhil via crawley, east grinstead, tun-wells, edenbridge, westerham, polehill, bromley then across via brands to home in time for the footy  |
Friday Night - Fitted new Remus can to SV
Saturday - Rode round all day listening to fruity new exhaust note. Saturday Night - Drank too much beer Sunday - Sat watching bike racing on the telly in pyjamas all day (with hangover) |
Worked saturday morning.. out around Abergavenny.. to Talgarth, Llangorse, and back to Abergavenny again on saturday....
sunday morning... oil change and various repairs on Annas bike... afternoon... ride around in circles in Bristol before finding roads out.... end up in Abergavenny again in evening where Stretchie and Anna chickened out as it was raining a bit with a few flashes of lightining... (understatement of the month!) which i had to keep on riding through when other two at turned around and gone home... |

Anyway, wheres the power point on your ship?? |
Quote:
Powerpoint? We don't use them as a rule...more sort of...guidelines actually!!  |
I spent the weekend working. Well sort of - driving about checking out some travel ideas for work - Tour Products. 10 pnts for anyone that can name the destination and country. It would've been so much more fun on a bike but maybe next time i am back. Lots of twisty roads and mountains about.
