Noobs
Hello all,
My wife (Vix) and I (Alex) are Bristol MoFo's, from over Arnos Vale way. We got our full licenses earlier this summer and now have an SK6 each - yes, I know, matching bikes, uncool, but at least not in the same colours (one red one blue). A few years back we got involved with a similar forum, but car related, we went to a few meets etc and basically met a load of clipboard Nazis who wanted to talk car tech all day. So, having now seen this forum, can you all please promise you're not a bunch of social misfits. If you can, and really mean it, we'll try and pop down the Roo sometime :) We're probably not up to standard for a ride out just yet. See you out on the road. |
p.s. Anyone who is heading out Chepstow way tonight, please report if the M4/M5 junction still smells of beef and onion pies.

We're definitely social misfits, but we talk about lots of other stuff than bikes and even when we do talk about bikes it's generally not ultra geeky stuff.
|
Oi! who you lot calling a social misfit ?!?
Just because we all have leather fettishs.. ride around on bikes trying to be as loud as possible... and go round corners like bats out of hell... OK.. point taken! |
hello welcome to the site...
Well I will protect you both from the social misfit's .. but always glad to welcome another Mofo to the possee. Usual meet up at the Roo and we will always welcome new faces! |
Welcome, pop into the Roo and see for yourselves what the MoFos as like.
Anna does'n bite. Kicking is another matter though :) |
Thanks to all that said "Hi"
Do you tend to stay at the Roo for a while? Vix and I tend not to get home much before six thirty most nights. |

Hello, welcome, bienvenue(?) and hi..
See you soon at the Roo. WHy don't you just head straight for the Roo most of us do anyway normally arriving anywhere between 18:00 - 19:00. I wouldn't worry about the techy geek part. I don't think any of us have memorised how much foot pound torque they have to tighten the warble polly forks nut up to. Mainly stuff about: 'hey Anna, that bikes louder than yours!' 'Valley boy did you just clean your bike when you said you'd gone to the loo' and the old favorite... "Stretchie SHUT UP!!!!!!!" You'll be fine  |
hey bud,
I'm in the same boat as you two, Meet you and this bunch soon i hope :D |
Cool. Think we're going to try to make it to the Roo this Thurs.
|
Hi, and welcome :D

Sometimes it smells sort of yummy, more often than not, it smells like dog meat :smt078 But I know exactly where you're talking about though , if you're going towards Wales you'll smell it just before the M5 turn off.  Class! Oh by the way - Welcome  |
I've not been biking for long, but the worst smell so far has to be a dead badger at the side of the road near the Airport. Reckon it had been dead for couple of days and in the hot sun we've had it reeked!
Give me the smell of bounce meaty chunks in jelly over that any day! http://www.parkvets.com/lighter/lighter22.html |
