New Tattoo!
Well boys & girls, I have at last got the tattoo I've wanted for ages done!
It's a Phoenix rising from the flames. Wanted it for ages since I had an MS scare a few years ago, where I lost the sensation in/use of my arms & legs and had to learn to walk again (brain had somehow also forgotten how to do this - or even sit upright!). They tell me now that it wasn't MS - thank god - but don't have a clue what it was! I then had my big bike accident, which I feel I'm rather lucky to have survived! (I was thrown 25 metres up the road, landed on my head, broke 6 bokes & was unconscious & not breathing!). So - I kinda associate with the Phoenix/ashes kinda thing. I always liked phoenixes any way but this just made me like them even more! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...esh-webpic.jpg It took just over 3 hours which people keep telling me is nuts for a first tattoo but I didn't find it too bad! I'm very pleased with the results and can't wait for the dressing to come off! :D It was done by Yan at Holy Cow Tattoos and he designed it for me too... One of the reasons I waited so long before getting it was that I hadn't found anything I liked enough to have permanently emblazoned on my body and I can't draw to save my life! I popped in to see Yan and see what he thought and he drew a rough idea out in about 3 minutes - I fell in love with it straight away! I didn't see the final design until this morning when I turned up for my appointment and I only saw the colours once it had been finished! I did give him permission to just do what he thought was good, as I had seen loads of his work and been mighty impressed! Any way - that's all folks - I'm rathr chuffed!!! :D |
That looks f***ing brilliant mate, superb job! 8)

This is because I have been through puberty!   Most women like it - I suppose it's down to not feeling they're molesting a child... This also runs true with those missing a 'Y' chromasome as well!  As for the tat - I can't stop looking at the picture! |
Excellent tattoo :D
|
Nice tat. I'm not normally a fan of colours, but that I like.
Don't let them make you feel bad about the rug. They're just jealous that they can't grow one. |
Its georgous 8) - is it sore? :?

He charges £60 per hour with a minimum charge of £50... Well worth it, I reckon! :D Quote:
(Those that know me wil know that this is rather unlikely and possibly the most ridiculous thing I have said in a long while!!! ) Quote:
Been visiting local beer emporiums rather regularly as well! Other than that - not alot! |
The use of colour is excellent indeed, as is the eye within the flames.
The Phoenix itself is a bit 'blocky' for my personal taste, but then I'm a 'fine linework' kinda gal. :smt102 It's nice to see someone who can use contrasting and complimenting colours well. Using blues etc in flames, not what you would first think of, but very effective when done well (as there). Use of colour was always my downfall - my monochrome work is all well and good, but colour, nah. Now just remember, when it itches - don't scratch! |
That looks the kippers tits mate. You just made want to get one even more.
|
That's a cool tat, i just looked at his website gallery as well and there's some really cool stuff on there
|
:smt007 OooooHHhhh!!! Nice chest.... err, tattoo!! I meant tattoo...
But I'm only a short bike-ride away if you need the dressing changed or cream applied... lol |
Well done on the tat. It's good. I am going a bit off a lot of tattoes recently, but that one is not bad at all.
For some reason I have a bit of a fascination with Phoenixes. What I really wanted to say though, that the reason behind it, the big MS scare and nasty accident, are two things that you should never forget. I think this is when I realised I was an adult, once I got humbled in a similar way as you. You will understand what I mean when I use the word humbled. Also, my Mum has pretty severe MS... yeah. Its not nice at all. So, nice tat, and nice reasoning behind it. Now, get over to that Rabbit chicks house stat  P. Edit: Whats the idea behind the Eye looking out through the flames? |
That is a seriously cool tattoo! 8)
My mate wanted something unique for his first tattoo and ended up having what can only be descibed as a bow drawn on his forearm! He insists that its a "cool pattern that means nothing"!  |
Wondered how long b4 you posted it on here :P
