Grill covers

Has anyone had these fitted? Are they worth investing in?

Bullwinkle 05-10-06 10:25 AM

Sorry...in wrong subject....

Bullwinkle 05-10-06 11:23 AM

Ok, so if people have used them, best make to use? I've seen the ones on Ebay but they look a little 'cheap'......:(

hovis 05-10-06 11:38 AM

sorry not got one, do you mean radiator cover, ive not got one of them either but i have full fairings, so you wouldnt see it anyway

so why did i reply to this post??????

zedleppelin1981 05-10-06 11:40 AM

I've fitted them to my SVS K6, just to give me piece of mind to protect the radiator and oil cooler from stone damage. To be honest I'm not sure they will REALLY protect them, though adding the covers together with a fender extender will minimise damage.

Plus they look good! :D (IMHO)

I bought mine from Hamicad http://www.hamicad.co.uk/

The radiator cover was a doddle to fit. The oil cooler a bit more tricky, but take your time and it'll be ok.

I keep meaning to post some pics of them fitted, but forget

I've got the hamicad ones, and therefore never had to worry about stone chips. I think they look nice.

Why indeed?

I never got around to getting one for my SV though it was on my shopping list. Thor has them on his bike and they do look rather nice I must say.
