Yay! Getting my bike back tonight!

*bounce bounce*

My GSX-R600 K6 is coming home tonight! 8)

Now I just need it to stop raining.

Bullwinkle 05-10-06 02:49 PM

Kate - did you adjust any height on it or is it just standard? Are your feet flat or tip toes?

thor 05-10-06 02:49 PM

Its completely standard, which is why I got the K6. I don't think I'll ever find a bike low enough for my feet to be flat on the floor (certainly haven't found any yet), I'm on the balls of my feet on the K6 :)

Are you a bit on the short side too?

DanAbnormal 05-10-06 02:55 PM

Ooooh a K6. Now that is a good looking bike. Hope this lame weather sorts itself out for you.

Kate - yeah - I had to lower my SV too......been looking for a nice machine with more than 100bhp that I didnt need to modify to put feet on ground! :)

Thats GOOD news!!

Must let us know how it went when you take her for a spin....:)

Law 05-10-06 03:00 PM

K6 =P~

Nice to know I could actually just about reach the floor on one. Have fun on it.

My SV was pretty low - I had dropped the forks and the preload, lower seat, longer links, Daytona Ladystar boots and I put a full race exhaust system on it to make it lighter and after all that I was STILL on tip toes!

I can fully recommend the GSX-R600K6. I had pretty much given up on finding a sportsbike that I could ride as standard, Flamin Squirrel had a gixxer K6 as a courtesy bike which he came to Selkent on andI sat on and I was amazed I could touch the floor. So I test rode one and that as they say, was that. Its great to ride.

SoulKiss 05-10-06 03:43 PM

Have you considered a Virago? Nice forgiving bike for the ladies ;)

When the lady inevitably falls off at the traffic lights, she has less far to fall.

I know nothing, but whats a Cagiva Raptor all about?

Bullwinkle 06-10-06 07:16 AM

you mean when the gentleman approaches the lights at an inappropriate speed, the lady has to take evasive action.....

northwind 06-10-06 07:27 PM

Also, when the 535's mighty 40 bhp causes it to accelerate faster than the small female brain can cope with, its extremely weak brakes are the only thing that can prevent her inevitable panic braking from causing an accident. A perfect package for the genetically inferior.

WTF???

You gotta be kidding right

northwind 06-10-06 09:45 PM

I was originally going to write "...for the genetically inferior- not just the female, but also the working class, Irish, <edit>, homosexuals,<edit> and blacks" just so I couldn't be accused specifically of sexism ;)

Carsick 06-10-06 09:54 PM

Northy, you been drinking? It's not like you to openly invite such levels of violence.

northwind 06-10-06 10:02 PM

I think I need to go further, there's still an outside risk of being taken seriously. Just as well so few females, working class, <edit> homosexuals, <edit> irish and blacks have sufficient wits to operate a PC or I might be in real trouble...

I forgot homosexuals, damn it all. I'll go back and edit it, hang on.

northwind 06-10-06 10:03 PM

Now I'm going to need to edit the other one too! I am beset on all sides.
