So I ought to be in the garage...
But I can't be bothered. I'm going to waste tonight, and when people ask me what I did at the weekend I'm going to say "I wasted it- it was great".
Anyone else? |

ive had a nice meal and a few glasses of wine, gonna go on the 360 soon then off to bed as i have football in the morning. Also start back at work on monday and i aint looking forward to it. Atleast ive spent a good few hours on the SV the last few weeks, Removed the fairings and cleaned in the nooks and crannys :D
|
I packed all my bits up to move back to uni tomorrow. SV coming with me; it'll be my longest ride to date (brighton to kingston) and the weather is forcast as poo.
I guess i wasted my weekend a little, since i should have been revising... Matt |
farted about with the bike a bit ........rode the bike a bit...................& posted a lot
|
ahhh, another procrastinator! it's good to have company
this weekend i'm supposed to be cleaning my bike and clearing out the attic, but i'm doing very well so far in avoiding both of those tasks. strangely enough though i do seem to have fitted in some clothes shopping... :D |
Well did the shopping today and tomorrow I'll be stripping the minimotos and getting them ready for a track night on wednesday. (for my son of coarse) 8)
|
Done nothing today apart from faff. Excuse of sniffles.
Wrote up my summer trip. Ate bolognese and drank wine, with endless cups of tea, coffee and chocolate muffins in betweeen. Also replastered my knuckle that I cut down to the bone last night (after a few glasses of wine) whilst cutting cable ties on my push bike that keep my new speedo and cadence meter wires in place. Manual labour and 14% Shiraz don't mix. I'm basically going no where fast, and none of it is helping my triathlon training! |
i stripped the weed growing conti board room out of the loft that the previous owners had left... consisting of 34 conti boards..(the police wanted to investigate it but tough) .i have re wired my bathroom & landing and over bath LED lights (lovely but stupid ****ing things)
so that the work off a 3 way 2 gang light switch so its neat and tidy, i have re wired a ceiling pendant as when i tried to remove it it broke. I have eaten pizza and now i feel ill because of it... and i have wasted my day / evening because i could have been sat doing nothing... :( or going out on my mountain bike like i promised myself i would... :( |
Yep, up late, lazy lunch, lazy ride around the valleys on my Royal Enfield and home for lazy tea, lazy eve and off to bed in a bit. Rinse and repeat :)
|
today I mostly...
wired in another phone point into the kitchen, went to Durham for the first time to visit the shops  went round the Cathedral. eyeballed WRCsixtythree on his little blast... put a modem in the desktop computer and got dial up on it ( in the kitchen/dinner) put all my parents photos from there trip to New Zealand on a DVD photoslide (3rd time lucky) tryed to stop the washing machine from leaking over the kitchen floor, hoover'd up the gallon's of water from the last job from the said kitchen floor.  posting this from the kitchen/ dinner so hopefully tomorrow I've have some to do as today was a little boring.  |
i saw my old man and took some pics of my sv after fabricating and fitting some blanks to go over the ugly holes that where left visable when i took of the rear foot rests. so i guess i did spend my day in the garage. after that he fed me and i went home to consume some more of my homebrew which it was decided was ready last friday and now im waiting for my richer housemates to get back from the pub so we continue with the drunken rampage.

Alright I started last night but I have a rather large bolt left over, so I better make that fit first. Dan |
ive been messing with the 650.
|
I have had a great wasted day, didn't get up till lunchtime, then played GT3 on the playstation all afternoon (I stopped playing about 40 mins ago and the ends of my thumbs are still numb).
Just had a shower and got dressed as we have someone coming to look at the house. Mrs Tricky seemed to think it would create a better impression if I wasn't wearing my pyjamas. :smt102 |
Well started the process of resolving the son's oil leak. Today was easy job, the rocker gasket as the head was covered in oil. Seams to be oil forming on the filter so I guess the filter might be leaking a bit.
It is due a service, so guess I will have to do that for him. filters, oil etc. Damm kids too idle to be responsible owners. I was talking with him whilst we went for the expensive £20 rocker gasket (Damm Isuzu engines) explaining possible leak points and discovered he always sits at lights in gear with clutch depressed. No wonder he also needs a new thrust bearing. |
Its been another quiet one here.
Weekend highlights... ...First alcoholic drink since NYE. ...Second alcoholic drink since NYE ...Third alcoholic drink since NYE ...guess what comes next?? ...bought some new plants for the front garden and stuck them in pots. Well, the other half did the green fingered bit. ...Attempting to ***** a load of freinds for my bands myspace page (shameless plug) but gave up through boredom. ...Got the purple streak in my hair re-dyed Yawn...time to hunt down some food. |

Today i've done hardly anything, gave the bike a once over and bolted the horn back in place, bikes all set for another week of riding :D |
Put stereo on in garage
Removed fairing lowers to fit Stebel Magnum Horn Swore at original horn bracket mounting bolt which was seized solid  . Adapted existing bracket to take new horn. Fitted horn (should give the MOT man a nice surprise  ) Struggled to get plastic pop rivets out to refit fairing lowers using screwdriver  Extracted screwdriver from palm of my hand Raided first aid box for antiseptic wipes and dressing Had a cup of tea and put bike away - oil change can wait till next week now. |
I actually did do something productive today, broke a perfect streak :( Put my TL1000 clipons back on, now the bike fits through the garage door.
|
I got up and went to work and spent most of the afternoon doing paperwork. I then came home and here i am now with the next 2 days off.
Tomorrow im going to sort out stuff to put up in the loft and fit new indys to the bike in time for its MOT on Tuesday |
I still dont have full feeling back in both my thumbs, should I be worried ?
