It could just be me that laughs at the bloody bits when the rest of the audience is going green... :lol:

I was just thinking you were gonna say something. I would say it was a wait for DVD type movie, but some of the action needs the big screen.

think its to do with the bolt mechanism that reduces the recoil by 85% or something like that!

Did you ever see Myth busters when they fired one into a swimming pool? It still packs a hefty punch! I wonder if anyone has made a .50 hand gun... :) :D :twisted:

desert eagle is in .45 cal and .50 cal!

I saw the .50 desert eagle when I was in Vegas. I prefer the original which was in .357 I got some range time in Chicago with the .357 8)

No, recoil is very low in an autoloader. Try a .455 Casull if you want recoil ;)

the socom is a .45 with a slide lock. silence it and all is very mmmmmmmmmm

You can't silence normal high velocity ammo, it has to be special made subsonic velocity. So the .45 will be somewhat neutered in performance.

but silenced never the less...the slide lock helps the reduction in noise too.

You won't hear the cycling of the action no, but if you need a follow up shot you better have nimble fingers.
Anyway only pansy special forces need silenced pistols, real hard men climb a 50ft cliff with a Fairbairn-Sykes between their teeth and despatch the enemy...

yes . . . not quite as exciting as an SLR Rifle I know but seeing as I cant walk down to the local Army Base and ask to try out there SA-80's it's the next best thing!
