Had a car accident this morning
 

Thankfully it was the car and not the bike. Travelling down dual carriageway with wagon in central reservation. Just passing wagon, small van just decides to cross the carriageway behind the wagon without looking. Tried as best to avert it but he hit me in the driver door and it was then curtains for the car. God a slight gash to my head where the roof frame has hit me (Convertible) but it looks like the mx5 is no more. The guys at least admitted liability to his insurance co. Now its just gotta be sorted out

sorry to hear that rob mate, where did it happen? i know you fancied a change of car but not in these circumstances, :cry:

Thanks for the sympathy folks, it was after a nightshift so instead of going to bed i was up pretty much all day with phone calls etc. The car actually pushed me into the other wagon causing damage on both sides.
Andy it was on the stretch between Billingham Fire Station (Seal Sands Rbout) and Port Clarence. The exact point being the petroplus junction.

glad to hear you're o.k, it doesn't matter how careful you are some people are just stupid.

At least you are OK, that's the main thing ;)

The question now is, what do i buy next? Im holding out for at least £7k on this one. Too many choices....

I have thought about spending less and buying a dirty bike to go with my nice shiny road one
