Re: Bike shoe/trainer....NOT boots
It seems there is very little out there....i am probably just paranoid that my shoe laces will disappear into the chain :)
Therefore i just bought a "shifter skinz" from fleabay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...2719&rd=1&rd=1 If nothing else itleast it will secure my laces:)....oh and its yellow! |

Re: Bike shoe/trainer....NOT boots
Personally I would'nt ride without some kind of ankle support/protection.
Have a pair of these on their way from the states as we speak :) David http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com.../OG/g20796.jpg |

Re: Bike shoe/trainer....NOT boots
Just go to www.rideicon.com to see what they do - even do stuff for the ladies (got the wife a nice new set of riding gear)
Only problem is that only Hein Gerrick do any of their stuff in the UK, and from speaking to Paws, they have last years stock/styles :) Got a great deal on this stuff at a shop/dealers in the US, one jacket - this one - retails at $600, best internet price was $520, I got it for $500 :)http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com.../OG/g23967.jpg |

I DO have a rather nice long (ankle length) leather coat however - made by the same person that made my leathers tho so maybe Camden here I come............ :P |
Re: Bike shoe/trainer....NOT boots
I have some of these that I use for the warmer weather.
Ankle pads take a bit of breaking in, but other than that they are pretty good, handy for poppong down the shops/into town when wearing jeans etc. . |

Re: Bike shoe/trainer....NOT boots
I guess loosing a couple of toesand having a year of pain from it (and that's threw proper motorcycle boots) gives me a different perspective on this stuff, I realised answering another thread I've a pair of those Kevlar Biker jeans that I've never worn, thinking about it for the same reason.
Although better than normal trainers, nowhere near the protection of boots, given the same accident, I'd have probably lost half a foot in them:shock: Cheers Mark. |
Re: Bike shoe/trainer....NOT boots
I had Joe rocket atomic's for a few years.
Good fit and really good in the summer on hot days. I could wear them in the office with few people noticing, but this really depends on the type of office it is. |
