How many miles on a bike in one day
With all this good weather people seem to be getting out on bikes again so whats your highest mileage in one day of riding this year so far?
Yesterday I managed 265.4 miles which is not only my highest of the year, but my highest ever! :riding: I also went on my first motorway on the bike yesterday, I ended up on the M1 somehow!:smt017 |

I'm going to do a coastal route to lands end on the weekend coming. Wonder how far thats going to be there and back!!!
The most i done otherwise is around 200,, motorway miles though!! |

This year, maybe 100! If you include last year...on my 'ring trip I travelled from Northamptonshire via London then down to the coast and all the way to the 'ring - maybe 500-600 miles?

A little over 350 a few weeks back. Start early/Finish late with lots of breaks. Half of that was an hour each way around the M25 onto Folkstone and then we still got a 2 hr lunch break in so didnt feel like a mission.

About 300 and that was on the pennine massive ride out last year that included me riding to ripon to meet every one! What a day:cool:

215 miles mainly motorway on an RSVR Mille about 2 months ago.
I've done 740 miles on the SV in the last four weeks - was really surprised when I checked the odometer! |

not this year, but the furtherst I've done in a day was Piran in Slovenia to Calais, which is ~1500km. long day that was

This year so far biggest day is 180 miles. Biggest ever was Ostend to Argentiere-le-Besse in the Frence Alps, about 1000K according to Google maps... that was a mission.

Manchester to the Ardennes, Belgium. That was on last year's Nurburgring trip. Not sure of the mileage, about 600ish.

Up to now it was trip to WSB at Donington about 140 miles, but am planning a week off to do some touring, so watch this space ;)

Return trip from heathrow to carlisle in 24 hours back in January but that was all motorway and wet/cold, but twas for a worthwhile cause, my Bro had just had his 3rd little un and uncle phil just had to go see ;) . Even took a day off work to go up!!

max so far, about 350 miles. In the summer I am going to be doing calais to verbier which will be direct route about 650 miles in the day ..... eeek. ;)

Most ever 460 (Mostly A roads too). Dont really fancy doing any more than that in one day TBH. |

Peterborough to just under Stratford to Glastonbury/Cheddar Gorge plus return trip on Easter Sunday. Set off at 8:15am and got back at 10:15pm
430ish miles I'm guessing. |

Galveston in texas (near houston) all the way to LA. about 1,600 miles done in under 24 hours, started at 12 noon and arrived at 11.50 the next day. ridding all night accross the middle of the desert. That was a hell of a ride, 2 of us going all night. Great fun but never ever again, it was seriously hard at the end of it all to be able to pay attention when we got into the city. I was on a busa but the other poor sod was on an unfaired v-max. we did it to see if it was possible in 1 day, i think in total we rested for about 4 hours on the whole trip meaning we put on an average of about 85mph in a country where 65 is the max speed limit but when your hurtling along in the dead of night with no other vehicals for probably 100 miles then its not really going to matter.

i did 800 in one day and a total of 2600 in 4 days.
That was from somerset to Bruno in the czech republic to watch the moto gp. It was an amazing ride but if i was to do it again i would take 6 days for the traveling. |

I've completed both the IBA Saddlesore 1000 and Bunburner 1500
my longest day has been just shy of 1600 miles and longest trip so far, 6200 miles in 10 days this year I haven't been for any all day rides yet, so the longest I've been out is around 250 miles |

Been taking it easy so far this year, only about 350 in one day but did do 2023 miles between 31st Mar to 9th Apr, as I said taking it easy :D

bout 350... London to Wales, round and about a bit and then back with a brief stop in Reading for the most expensive (and needed) pint of orange juice & soda ever.

Also managed a circuitous (Got lost) Kingston to Cadwell & back while walking wounded...Not sure how far that is. Limped up upto the hot dog stand for a cuppa & passed a bloke coming the other way... "What you do - fall off your bike?" he said, "well yes," I said. "Oh" he said....
