Croft Track Day

Its been one of those things which ive been meaning to do for the last couple of years and im again looking to do it this year.

Looking on http://www.nolimitstrackdays.com/UKdates.htm there are quite a few dates in June/July available and are either £109 or £149 depending on dates.

Would anyone else fancy this one? Id be in the novice group myself but just thought it could be an excellent day out if we organised a group meet.

Re: Croft Track Day

Would be interested, not been there for a couple of years. Keep me posted on the dates you're thinking of.

Re: Croft Track Day

I would be keen to give it a go. However don'thave many weekends available. Late June or early July is best for me. PM me some dates and we can start the ball rolling.

Re: Croft Track Day

Definitely up for a $109 one (no pound sign here) weekday I'd imagine. Worth posting up in the trackday forum too once a possible date has been decided.

Re: Croft Track Day

I might be up for the one on 7th July, as it's my birthday that day :D

Tim in Belgium 24-04-07 03:53 PM

Re: Croft Track Day

I'd be more up for the cheaper one on the Friday the 6th July, would you be happy to have your present a day earlier and 40 quid cheaper :) ?

Dave The Rave 24-04-07 04:09 PM

Re: Croft Track Day

£40 should cover the track insurance, I hope.

Re: Croft Track Day

Eek i forgot about insurance - How much is it?

Tim in Belgium 24-04-07 06:50 PM

Re: Croft Track Day

Never bothered myself.....but then my bike isn't worth that much.

I know when my dad took it out on his car for half a day on track it was expensive (at least 100 pounds..) but its value is a little higher than an SV.

rob13 24-04-07 07:31 PM

Re: Croft Track Day

I would imagine mine was worth no more than about £2600

andyaikido 24-04-07 07:57 PM

Re: Croft Track Day

You guys might want to do a search on track day insurance. A lot of people on here don't think it's worth it as it won't pay out unless you total your bike.

rob13 24-04-07 08:49 PM

Re: Croft Track Day

I would have thought that would be the only reason you had it anyway as surely TD insurance would affect your no claims on your normal insurance anyway if you made a claim

Then maybe a Happy Birthday BBQ, Trackside... sounds like a plan.

Re: Croft Track Day

I will look into the insurance issue. But £100 would rule me out. And no insurane for a track day? Not sure I would risk that.

Re: Croft Track Day

Rob (and all). I'm WELL up for it. Either date is fine by me. Been thinking of setting a date at Croft myself. Did Oulton in March, Cadwell in May last year. It's awesome. Novice group myself. You still get a lot of the fast boys for the first few sessions trying out new suspension, track bikes, new lines etc. The good thing is there's no pressure. It's all about fun and being able to ride home.....which brings me on to insurance. Never bothered myself but I'm told you can get it for 40-50 quid but the cover isn't great. Personally I think if you don't have insurance you are perhaps more careful and take less risks. Hey whatever works for you I guess.

Let me know and I'll get myself signed up....

Cheers
