Gods gift of the laxative. A couple of packets of planters and chip the enamel. Yup used to drink it in my youth. These days.

Any good bitter, or a good smokey scotch. The only thing in it being another

Heieneken or Amstel at the mo. Boring I know!

Got two bottles of vodka in the pantry - one full of cherries the other raspberries. Both ready in time for summer bbqs!

Can't wait....! Well, obviously, I can wait....but you know what I mean!

Current favourites are St. Peters Honey Porter and Dark Star Espresso Ale. Both wonderful, but hard to find, strong dark ales.

Filter coffee, Pepsi or flavoured water.

Will have a small glass of Baileys on special occasions, but very rarely. Don't touch any other alcohol.

Dowe Egburts Caffe Latte - I live on it.

Used to be a complete coffee monster, but woke up one morning and jsut the smell from the jar was enough to make me nearly vom. It was a sad day.

Otherwise Naffi standard tea - which I have managed to get in every British pub I've ever been in. :D

Im my pre-'prescriptiondrugsthatreallyshouldnotbetakenwithal coholnoreallydontIdidonceandtheeffectswerewelllets justsayNOshallwe' days I was an Archers' lass when out, or any good Single Malt Scotch that was over the age of consent (no messin' with tha' kiddies for me ;)) if I was indulging in some good 'sipping' company.

Re: So whats your poison?

I go through phases- I do love red wine- particularly Rioja (mainly Campo Viejo or Faustino) or Lindemanns bin 45 Cabernet Sauvignon.

Currently working through a bottle of Bulleitt Bourbon- it's OK. Smoother than Old no.7, but somehow lacking the character.

Tend to drink Guinness at the mo, but Newcastle Brown is another staple, plus the odd glass of San Miguel.

Now I live within walking distance of pubs again, I've gone back to nice ales while out, lager while in.
Favourite ale I can get round here is Waggle Dance, but absolutely favourite is Ringwood's 49er.
Lager wise any reasonable quality lager keeps me happy.

If you like Belgian Beer, you should try some Kwak. Yes, Kwak!
V. Strong and flavoursome! (makes Stella look like a 'bluesteel' drink :smt120 ;) )
Liked it so much on a trip to Belgium last year, that my sister tracked me some down on ebay for a chrimbo pressie. :smt045

Otherwise, I pretty much prefer Real Ale to that fizzy foreign stuff.
and of course a nice bottle of Vin Rouge..........the list could go on!

You can find Kwak in some supermarkets and off-licenses. If you like the Belgian Trappist ales, I'd recommend 'La Trappe'. It's actually brewed just over the border in Holland and comes in stoneware bottles. It's not cheap but you're paying for real quality (unlike Stella). Some supermarkets, such as Waitrose, stock it.

I'm surprised by how unadventurous many of you are when it comes to beer. I only drink quality ales, there's no point in wasting money on the nasty mass-produced stuff.
