Woohoo for the taxman!!

Recieved a £585 tax rebate:o :) . So I went straight onto the web and bought myself Altberg Hogg All Weather Microlite boots and forcefield pro L2 back protector. Oh and also thought I would be nice and bought the missus some new clothes as well ( just to keep her happy ).
The missus needs some new clothes as we are going to the O2 arena this coming weekend. O2 are doing a special day for the employees,
Will be seeing Kaiser Chiefs :rave: and a comedian ( dunno who because they are keeping that quiet ). Got free accommodation and free food and drink.
Looks like June is going to be the best month for us this year!!

Congrats indeed! As a matter of interest, why did you choose the Altberg Hogg style in the first place? I have a pair of Hogg All Weather Originals and don't regret the choice.

After reading what people said and reading Altberg website I thought they might be worth having a look. Liked the style and the 100% waterproof, plus I think they will last longer than most other boots would.

Great news KitKat! I remember you were in the process after you discovered you were paying loads more thax than colleagues.

I'm sure that was a great help to get that back.

Actually thats not quite correct ;) :p  A good month for the taxman is where people actually get it right, and any tax overpaid is repaid and any underpaid is collected. Trust me, theres probably quite a few about that arent so happy as those in this thread ;) :D

Well thank you Lynw for putting a downer on a nice surprise, I don't often get many.
However you are actually correct, but I only meant what I said in a light hearted way.

Oh good grief, I wasnt being serious  After all the flak I get on here for BEING a tax officer I think if anyones allowed a little humour its me.

Serves me right for bothering to post. Next time I wont bother - and that goes for anyone who wants my help. I really cant be arsed with it anymore.

hmmm maybe I need to join you in looking for the lost sense of humour.

You won't regret it- they're bloody brilliant. I wouldn't wear anything else for day to day commuting/touring now (although I'd consider a race style boot for trackdays/to wear with one piece leathers). I'm wearing mine as I type this. :)

Only downside is I doubt you'll have them in time for AR07. 4-6 weeks turnaround normally...

Re: Woohoo for the taxman!!

I have just had a slap on the back of the head off the wife.
Reason.... For not reading LYNW post correctly!!
So Lynw I openly apologise and hope I have not offended you too deeply.
All comments and thoughts are welcome ( even if I don't like them ).

Regarding the boots, I recieved an email which said I would not have the boots until september, so I phoned Altberg and luckily enough they had the normal Hogs already made up. So I have ended up buying them at a reduced price and should have them by Thursday.
