OEM tyre life, is this a record?
 

Just replaced my original (michelin edit dunlop, oops) thingies with continental road attacks after 8,600 miles. Is this a record? (k5) Please don't poke fun at my riding style :(. Oh alright, feel free

Should have had Dunlop D220s on if they were original tyres, not Michelins.

oe tyres are dunlop rite im getting ready for my 3rd set of tyres bt014's at 10000 miles

Originals were dunlops, and i managed 7500miles out of mine. Thats darn good for the D220!!!! :rolleyes:

5k ish, but i changed because i was bored really.

I had conti road attacks fitted. 4.5k on them now adn they're holding up quite well!

I got 10,500 miles out of mine in the first 8 months! Tho I did take a few long trips in there. Two of them were 2k miles plus, and alot of highway miles. Probably pushed them a bit far. When i took them off the rubber was starting to blister off of the carcass in the middle!:smt103

I've got a curvey so mine came with Metlzer Z4s. They lasted 11,001 miles. There was still plenty of tread on them - they just scared me in the wet.

I felt like a riding god in the wet with my Z4's. Kick it down a gear a little to early and the rear slides, and if your clever you can get a slight little front slide accelerating out of corners.

At the time though, i crapped myself and thought I was a gonner. The tyres obviously knew more than I did.

MEZ6's are now on, and i have a much better relationsip in the rain and dry with the road :)

mine came with them nasty nasty dunlop sportsmax things, god they were awful, i took em off after around 6 thou as i just couldnt get on with them, got good old BT020's on them now and its stunning, wouldnt have anything else near it....

i bought the bike with 3700 miles and i did burn out every where because i hated them. so about 5000 on them i would have maybe got qualifiers but i had an attitude problem with there 220 so i got pilot powers
