motorbike fashion do's and dont's
taken from fast bikes magazine june 07-
do not stick stickers all over your bike, do not wear a sweater or hoodie over your leathers, do not use a tyre pen on the walls of your tyres, do not wear a stick on mohicon on your crash helmet, do not wear your back protector over your leathers, always fit old sliders to new leathers, iridium visors were cool in the 90's wear black or silver if you insist, do not tuck your jeans into your bike boots, if you've got a yellow bike (hovis) dont wear yellow leathers, smoke or black screens are ok colours are not, colour'd engine bolts are a no no, fit stainless or titanium instead, let a mate scuff your sliders, this is the one bit of bull**** allowed, dont go out in all brand new kit you'll look a flash tw#t with new sliders, dont wear sunglasses under a clear visor, dont fit grips with your bikes name on, dont fit colour'd tyres to your bike, race rep helmets are cool but the whole race rep kit isnt. |

Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
I think I've finally found somewhere that I'm fashionable! :clown:
My one piece leathers have small yellow flashes on them but the rest of my gear is all black  What about a hoody under leathers with the hood flapping out? :smt048 I do have some fake carbon fibre though (top yoke protector and petrol cap cover) |

In mittigation mila'd tis only so that I can see where I is goin! |
Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
Tyre pen here... Are FB now the arbiters of taste? :) On their list of "DOs" does it say "Fit trackday tyres to your commuter" and "Never ride in the rain"?
|
Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
Sunny's under my clear visor, not got around to getting a tinted visor yet!!!
|
Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
Lucky for me, I'm too poor to buy anything flashy that makes you look like some sort of racer boy. Actually I'd still be safe even if I did have more cash.
|
Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
well except maybe for some fake carbon fiber accents
|
Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
I'm too cool for school.

Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
I've not done any of those. Worst I've done is worn sunglasses with an open face lid (still don't reckon this is anywhere near as bad as under a full face one's visor). I've also tucked my denim jeans inside my boots.

Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
Nuts to 'em. I like hiding leather's under a sweatshirt, I think my gold iridium rocks & sunglasses under a clear Visor are easier to take off when it gets dark.
 |
Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
dont go out in all brand new kit you'll look a flash tw#t with new sliders,
I see, and what exactly am I suppose to do? Hang the leathers in the garage for few years to mature? |

As for crimes - I wear my boots over my leathers - so I think that makes me a fashion criminal. Not sure I could wear them the otherway round even if I wanted to. |
Re: motorbike fashion do's and dont's
Not guilty of any of those... I mus be a fashion god!
