Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
Looks a bit different, but good thou. Was it expensive and is it only for pointies or do they make them for proper Sv's?
|
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
That looks ace!

Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted

Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted

i'm still waiting for mine **cry** |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
Mine was £216 from intobikes took about 3 weeks from order to delivery. The instructions that came with it are for curvy and pointy just need the link pipe chopping in a different place.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...lbe/zorts2.jpg :D |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
My dads SV was used to develop these cans and the link pipes, just thought i'd let you all know. Scorpion wanted to make a single link pipe fit the Curvey and Pointy SV's, good idea me thinks :D

Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
phone the LBS today, they are going to "chase it up"
[translation] oh bugger, we forgot to order it [/translation]:D |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
Hi,
How loud are these cans? Got one of these off ebay - titanium and link pipe. Link pipe looks different /shorter so may require some 'fettling' when i get the courage to fit it!Bracket may have to be higher up. Absolutely no weight in it! Didn't come with clips or hanger straps so waiting for them to be delivered. Should be ready to fit it by this weekend so will let you know how i get on.;) Can't wait..... |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
supposedly mine is arriving this week, so i should have pics by the weekend, however i don't hold out much hope...
|
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
Looks the dogs dagglies that mate does it have a removable baffle?
|
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
Exhaust clips and hangers arrived today.
Once home from work got handy with the hacksaw and off came the original can. Wow, what a difference in weight! A little fettling and new can on. Looks really good and sounds really loud. Will get some pics on soon. Still to give it a spin to see how it sounds on the road. Can't wait. It does have a gauze baffle. |

it should say "it did have a gauze baffle" ;) |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
As soon as i started it up my wife came out claiming it was louder than the race can that i'd had on one before last. But i'm sure that was down to getting used to stock cans.:D
Trying it without the baffle? Has to be looked into! |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
sounds like what i'm after...
any pics yet? can't wait to get hold of mine:cool: |

Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
looks sweet, happened to be passing the LBS yesterday and dropped in just in case, joy of joys it's here, had a poor attempt at cutting the pipe last night with a hacksaw, screw that, i'm buying a dremel this morning and getting on with it
pics/possibly vid tonight providing it all goes smoothly, and i'm glad i waited for the ti one |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
holy mother of all that's, erm, holy...
took the baffle out last night thinking "it can't be *that* loud" - i was wrong:D - it's mental, and i've even done the copper test, rode past a bored PC sitting on the side of the road and nothing came of it, i'll have to see how i get on for the next few weeks - too much attention and i'll re-fit the baffle for hoppy: cutting the pipe isn't hard, just take your time and duck tape some cardboard to the swingarm (i did and although i didn't hit it i would have been gutted had i). i cut through the outer pipe with the dremel and then cut the inner one with a junior hacksaw - 20mins tops and it was a super clean cut. and yes, scorpion supply a link pipe to refit the original pics and video to follow once i wash the bike... |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
as promised, here are the pics...

Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
Hi Wolf, exhaust looks great! cant wait to get mine, could you post video on youtube, would sure like to see it!
Really glad I've got my order in. I know these stubby style are the ones to have now! nice one and good pictures! cheers dave, please post link to you tube vid! :D |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
ok, will get the video transcoded and uploaded sometime soon, not sure how long it'll take...
|
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
nice one looking forward to seeing utube! only thing your lacking now is a double bubble, I have that. Also got a poly26 belly pan being sprayed pearl crystal red at moment. Will do the tail tidy mod too! Which was easier tail tidy mod or chopping and fitting the exhaust?!
Anything you want to do next? cheers dave |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
How did you get the picture of your number all fuzzy in last picture? Did you use that special spraying stuff that cameras arnt supposed to see or alter the picture..........?
cheers Dave |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
the only mod i have planned for now is the get some yellow bandit bulbs so i can fit clear indicators, other than that i think it's oko, might get a DB screen in the future but right now the standard one is ok.
i got the shop i bought the bike from to fit the tail tidy before i picked up the bike so i don't know how long it took, i bet it was longer than i spent doing the exhaust though, lots of wires and whatnot to cut. took me less than an hour to fit the exhaust once i got the right tools. i fuzzed the plate using the liquify tool in photoshop now for the main event... http://youtube.com/watch?v=4deGJypg4Nc enjoy, video is crappy so i could upload it quick, turn your bass up - the real thing sounds pretty close to the vid, but is more aggressive when you rev it, sounds like a harley at low revs but shouts like nothing i've heard at full chat, including a tl1000 with twin race cans |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
your right! it sounds very aggressive to me! thanks for posting link. vid is fine.

Yep thats one cool zorst to be sure! Cant wait to get mine. Ordered it on Friday, supposed to take 10 days he said. My mate has a Triumph Speed Triple, which he has put twin carbon scorpion cans on, though he told me he would rather swap them for one of these new street extremes! They are definately the coolests zorsts going!
cheers d |

Hi Lonewolf,
looking at the picture of your exhaust i realise that it differs from mine. Looking at the pictures of the end of the exhaust it looks like the baffle has been removed? and that there would have been a bolt holding it down? What did the baffle look like? Reason i ask is that i got my exhaust off ebay and it has bowl shaped gauze baffle held in by three allen key bolts around the edge. Does have scorpion logo on polished end. I wonder if there is a race version of this pipe? Also where is the British Standard Mark? There is a label stuck beneath the can but all text has been polished off. cheers |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
interesting, after a bit of torch assisted groping around the rear end (pun intended) i can't find any BS mark at all on the can. there are three bits of text on the connection to the link pipe but they seem to relate to the grade of stainless steel used. the baffle is a black tube about the size of an ice cream cone with a bend at the exit end and some holed metal at the other, again with no markings. i'll try and get a decent shot tomorrow for you

Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
Fitted mine this weekend too, cool exhaust sounds great too! and looks the business!

Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
oooooo v nice people. just thinking if i should order one in carbon for my black sv
|
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
hey, i've just passed my test and am getting an 06 sv650s limited to 33bhp :( i want to get a scorpion street extreme to replace the stock can, but i've read articles about re-jetting needing to be done and this has made me wary as i know nothing about it! does this need to be done when changing to this can or is it just a case of changing over and loving the new sound?
phil :D |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
My bike is running fine with extreme fitted. As far as I'm aware it does not have to be re-jetted. There is no mention of that in the instructions. And furthermore it sounds great!
cheers dave |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
Does the video remind anyone else of Knightmare?
|

explain, as if you were talking to some one with no clue what "Knightmare" is...:p |
Re: Scorpion Street extreme fitted
So this can is legal with baffle in yes? Im just wondering if i should waste some money getting one of these bad boys to replace my current scorpion exhaust!?
Oh and BTW your 06 bike will run fine with the zorst on hellfire! |
