What do you think of the B King

Is it just me or is the B-King a gross styling mistake by Suzuki? Yamaha seemed to have made the same c0ck-up with their MT01 and the sales reflect it. They both look like something out of a Japanese cartoon!

All in my very humble opinion, of course. :p

Re: Is it me? (B-King)

Must say I don't like the back end.

As for the MT, I find myself strangely drawn to it just because it look different. As well as it being slightly excessive in the engine department, I'm guessing the book price of nearly 10k when they came out had something to do with the sales problem. Dealers seem a bit stuffed and I've seen some discounting new ones by up to 4k...almost tempting!

Re: What do you think of the B King

I think it looks ok apart from the hiddious exhausts out the back i mean whats that all about!! if they had trimmed the exhausts into the seat unit nice it would have looked alot better. Have to admit i like the idea of the yam but as already said the price is abit out there in la la land

Re: What do you think of the B King

There's not a great deal of diferences between the 2 really - but the differences that there are do definately detract from the production model.I still think it looks ok but agree with the comments about the exhaust.

Who ate all the pies!? Fantastic concept....horrendous proddie version.

Seems Suzuki are going to try and do a Yamaha and charge punters some extaordinary price (near 10k), just like the £9grand+ MT01 wet fart (needs thousands spent to make it go) and the original £8500 Fader sorry fazer.

SV650S wheels and tyres?:p Looks like it eh!

With 175bhp at the rear wheel i wouldnt care if it looked like a pink pig:D ..only thing is id need a mortgage to replace all the burnt out rear tyres:smt045

BTW - on Wednesday we will have one in the showroom between 4pm and 9pm for a pre launch...launch!!!:smt066

Re: What do you think of the B King

The problem is the tyre rear tyre isnt wide enough in the production model...

look... it narrows the back end of the bike knocking the massing out of proportion....

Tie me to a stake and set me on fire, but I actually quite like the aesthetics of the finished one (still not seen one in the flesh, mind), especially the 'controversial' stock 'zorsts...

Mmm, burger king.

I think it looks like a sack of **** tbh, but, what do I know? It also looks a bit like Magneto.

edit- what's the point of a boost king without any boost? If the power was too much they should have gone smaller and supercharged, that'd be a bit more interesting.

Not a naked Hayabusa
Completely different bikes that happen to have different versions of an engine

Looks very wide to me dude...whats screen resolution you using?? ;)

Dan...The top image is a studio pic and probably photo shopped to look better than good, marketing innit?
The bottom one just looks like a crap photo! Dull & lifeless!

I admit the B-king does look like something out of a manga cartoon! :)
..but I do like these street, muscle, aggressive, burn rubber type machines of late! Makes a refreshing change to move on from the jelly mould era!

175 at back wheel and no fairing?? Do you have to shackle your wrists to the bars or summat?? :pale:

Re: New BK, Naked Busa

On the production model they seem to have made the exhaust bigger and the rear wheel smaller but that's really the only difference - the other ones are minor, e.g. the bellypan and the headlight.

Stu 25-07-07 10:12 AM

Re: New BK, Naked Busa

Please do tell me, but the concept bike looks like it's got at least a 250 section rear tyre & the front wheel looks at least 19 inches (so maybe back as well). Is it not obviously much easier to draw a pretty fantasy bike that's almost impossible to build practically for everyday use?
