Photo Competion
To try and get this under way "properly" I've started a new thread. All photos for each month will come here, I will then "split" the thread at this point every month. However, we will generate a list of winners.
Few simple rules...

My trail guide and mate Trev down in Andalucia was sitting here and telling me how lucky he knows he is to have this on his back doorstep.

Re: Photo Competion
Something to produce a 'good feeling'...no tweaking - just a snap...

Re: Photo Competion
Some good pictures so far - more about the picture than the technique i think for this month.
Wasnt there going to be a bike based prize and general award? |
Re: Photo Competion

Re: Photo Competion
That looks very familiar :D
(Notice the red 'Blade ??) I'm trying to remember where that was, it looks like ether the hotel at the Grand St Bernard on the Italian/Swiss border, or the Col du Lautaret just before the Col du Galibier. Kyree, good to hear from you again, we're off to the Alps on the 24th, just 3 weeks to go  Quote:
Edit: LP, you beat me to it.... Quote:

Re: Photo Competion
Here is my entry. I had just hiked for miles along that little winding path you see in the distance, up to an old lookout tower on the West coast of Corsica. In my bag I had a hunk of bread, a hunk of corsican cheese, a corsican sausage and some fresh olives. Heaven! :)

Reaching the top of a mountain during the Charity Coastal Motorbike Tour I've just completed, and after only just making it up there, and looking down at this and thinking "Wow!":

Right, here's my effort for August:
Sunset, Fremantle Docks, Western Australia http://farm1.static.flickr.com/2/333...69988523_b.jpg Good feelings: it's a beautiful place to be, my Mum lives there, I was drinking a beer when I took this, I was there with my lovely sister during the best year of my life. All in all, good stuff. (apologies for the rubbish scan by the way!) |

sums up boating for me, boating made me feel alive. I miss being able to boat at that level now (to old and scared). We had just completed the Gyr / Gyronde including most of the 'graveyard' section at monumental levels and was feeling pretty chuffed with myself. Cold Water, hot sunshine, hot boating and a ton of adrenaline, makes you feel alive! |

That was my favorite shot out of the day, the combination of action emotion, the linking of the Silver in the suit/helmet and the fading Orange to Blue in the Visor all connected really well. The best thing the photographer and I talked about the potential to get this shot before the session so it was sort of planned All I did was the riding :D The photographer was the Focussed Events chappie |

Eat a live frog first thing in the morning- and nothing worse will happen to you for the rest of the day !! http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...er/frog002.jpg taken this afternoon next to my pond |
Re: Photo Competion
We go to Tropea, Italy a few times a year and every time i look at this pic or any of the others of that beach it can lift me right up if i am feeling down knowing i will be there again before long. Just my "happy to be alive" place

I took this pic of Jean Pierre Goy (Stunt man from all of the recent James Bond films) at Beaulieu Bikeworld 2004. It was great just to be in the sunshine with Grinch and friends, watching some bloody mad frenchman rag a bike about some tarmac! |
Re: Photo Competion
I took this yesterday.
http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...r225/567hr.jpg A warm summers day, some water and a yellow curvy - what more could you possibly want? I went out at about 1 and completely lost track of time, didn't get back 'til 6. I thought I'd only been gone for a few hours and was thinking that the sun was getting low a bit early :smt100 Anyway, thays why it's a good feeling, 'cos I just went for a ride and nothing else mattered - not even time! |
