Mirror Indicators
 

Was thinking of investing.was gonna sell my bike but now going to up grade.
Anyone got an opinion on the above. Also if i do were do u get the wee fillers to cover holes of old indi's

I don't know if you can get anything to cover the holes but you could just buy some flush mount indicators to fill the holes but not bother wiring them up and terminate the original wiring.

BanditMania do fillers for the indicator holes.

If you are going to the banditmania shop check they are there first as they often shut up to go to shows etc without leaving any kind of notice other than a piece of paper on the door!

I'm planing on either fitting some aftermarket mirrors with indicators or modding some gixxer mirrors to fit. Will be keepin my flush mount indicators wired up as they're not that visible from the front (!) so can be classed as side indicators!

You can find the fillers on Ebay or J&P catalog. they are universal I belive for SV 650 and 1000, Bandit, and GSXR 600 and 750 of the K3-K7. about $20. U.S.

I have seen online where you can change the two little headlights into turn signals and also the rear brake lights as turn and brake.

had wee indicators on mirrors and they were rubbish. couldnt see anything.

Thought rather than starting a new thread, I'd resurrect this one.

I'm looking at a pair of indicator mirrors to use on my faired curvey.

Anyone else got some on theirs, and if so, which ones?

Any help/ info greatly appreciated!

I'm currently working on a GSX-R mirror conversion with little success so far. Think I can see what I need to do but can't quite bring myself to butcher my lovely new mirrors until I'm sure!

So were those GSXR ones a straight fit, or did they require some modification?

Requires mods I'm afraid. Tried something similar to chewy's mirror extenders, only sloped so that the mirrors were at the right hight/angle, but they just looked plain weird. I'm now having to mod/make a new mounting bracket for the mirror arm though haven't had much time to experiment!

+1 for this approach and almost all the comments. Especially the haven't had time bit.........


My prototypes looked OK, but it'd worried about the profiling so much that I sanded though one of the mounting holes which made it look bad. At this point I didn't want to start drilling the cable holes through the fairings until I was happy with the rest.

Still at a standstill for now.

Search Ebay, thats where he got them from! You need 30mm spacing between the bolts.

I believe motrax do them and they have variable spacing on the mounting bolts.

Stumbles across this Sv at a bike shop with indy mirrors. I've always fancied the ide but wondered how they'd look fitted. Not keen on this particular make as the bases are huge and don't match up with the fairing lines.

They're the motrax ones i think. I've got some LED ones off of ebay and the fit at the fairing is similar

Ive got some after market mirrors aqnd there those ones without the indys not a great fit much like them but you can only see close up and look a 100 % better than the stock ears you get imo.
