New bike for me !!!
 
Yes ok im still in plaster and probley wont be able to ride her until after Christmas but she was tooo good a bargain to let go:

Thats what liked about it, i dont want something to costly as it'll only be a winter hack, looks v good condition considering age,plus its fully mot'd/serviced and its from a dealer

Nice chunky styling on CB-1's, I like. That one looks tidy too.

Nice.They dont get much cheaper than that whatever the age.Its all on condition once they get past the depreciation stage.

I considered her huni but my ex had one before the zx9 and i couldnt get it off the sidestand :(, im only little lol

lol, well ive got the cash now and im missing having a bike! :-D
i learnt and passed my test on a cb500 so i know they are good little hardy bikes, i hate centre stands!!

Nice one looks clean! Keep the centre stand, it's a winter hack! You want stuff like that, that's why I kept it on my CBR :D

I had one of these for my lessons and then my test - great little bike with a very comfy seat and a revvy willing engine - I am sure you will love it :D

CB500 is lame in comparison! CB-1 is an inline 4 cylinder whereas the CB500 is a parallel twin!

Ignore the negativity, the fact you now have a bike is great as it gives you something to shoot for. When you are out of plaster and being man handled in physio, it gives you some incentive to work hard.

I thik ive had 3 people so far off all the different bike sites im on say bad stuff, had LOADS of you saying how great a bike it is/what a screm they are/that i'll love it/sensible choice etc

Well Paws just Pm'd me about her new bike, didn't realised until then. Here is my bike in it super condition when i first got her:

And still have her to this very day.

The ride to Scotland - yes to Scotland from Brighton - 500 miles non-stop and this is the 2nd trip she done. Ready for touring.

Ignore the front set up, its back to standard after having a tyre combination that went bald in uder 2k miles! It handle on rails back then! :smt077

Winter hacks are soooo coool.

Apart from preventive maintenance it's just a case of get on and ride. I still think the best form of winter hack is a shaft drive one. MAINTENANCE FREE. Whoohoo.

Oh and Paws. :cool: looking hack you have there. :thumbsup:

Find out if it is restricted as most import bike are! If it is don't worry as they are only washers in the inlet manifold and take a few mins to remove. You'll lve it by the way there's a US site as well for them there's loads of mods you can do to them!:cool:
