Small-scale bimble from The Ace today (Sat 3rd Nov)

Hi all. Not sure what's happened to Mr Alpineblahblah's plans to come to The Ace today... Spidey's not heard any more from him.

So, Spidey (blue naked curvy SV) and I (black GS500F) are going to meet at The Ace at 1pm, grab a bit of food, and go for a blat for a few hours. If you'd like to come too then meet us there! (Maps and route ideas are welcome too, as always ;)).

Probably not I'm afraid... more likely to be north west (ie Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire) - just as we'll be in that direction anyway at The Ace. Otherwise we'll spend our rideout time getting through London!

oh well - ride safe & don't fall off.

If you came into contact with Bear yesterday, his falling off disease may still be contagious......!

Dude, reading signs wasn't the problem, missing them at xxx mph was :smt038 , soz again Caz and Spidey!

Great little bimble led by Caz who led us to the B4009 and then let us loose, excellent.

My lesson for the day was not to forget my clear visor although on that ride back on the M40 in the dark I could see pretty well.

Cheers,

Paul

Well, if we're going to think about lessons to be learnt... then mine are:

Join the B4009 much further west (at the A40 or even the A41 [in which case we can pop in to Saeed's for a cuppa]). We'd only just started getting to the really good bits when it was time to turn round and go home again :(.

Take a map that's got more detail on it than the one I had... to minimise the 'getting lost' / 'where the f*** has the B4009 disappeared to?!' aspects of today's ride.

Thanks for a great afternoon out though guys, was top fun.

Yep, me and Peter (mr anderson) missed the sign because i saw him shoot off, so I naturally followed. The poor Duke was maxed just before we backed off and saw a patrol car on the hard shoulder :smt075

Boy racers, eh? Jester may have earlier made jokes about women not being able to read maps... so now I'll make jokes about men not being able to follow simple instructions... say... for instance... "we'll be leaving the M1 at Jcn 11".

Still, it gave Spidey and myself the opportunity to have a coffee (with free piece of fudge) at a pub straight out of Phoenix Nights. We know how to have a good time.

Oh, and I then discovered last night (when I went to buy petrol for my car) that I'd left my debit card behind at the petrol station by the Ace. I'm hoping that nobody went for a shopping spree on my behalf in those 24 hours...:(

Technically I didn't have it "all". You did have some of yours, but complained that it was "too crumbly". Fussy boy. Tidy girl.
