Cardiff is a great place to visit I found. The Cardiff Bay area is great for a more chilled night out than the city centre. Don't go weekends or when a big event is on if you don't like crowds and / or drunks :D
Butetown (I think) has some great little venues. Saw Toyah doing an acoustic gig there a few years ago in a little theatre. Must organise another visit. :smt026 |

I remember the arcades and the market from our visit. Lovely architecture and it had a nice vibe. As Mike says though, I'm sure it's a very different place in the evenings and especially so at weekends, but then all university towns and cities are! I'm sure it would be a great place to be a student.
