UPDATE - Following Off
A quick little update for you following my off......
Been to the hospital today, had new X-Rays done. They are now struggling to see the fracture that was on my previous xrays of my Scaphoid bone...... The one concern now is that I have fluid in my right hand under the knuckle. Other than that it is now just a case of using my hand as much as possible and I need to stretch it whenever I can. He still thinks probably 6 more weeks till I can ride more comfortably. But at least it is mostly good news. As for the bike, insurance assesor going on Monday, the garage have assured me it will probably be repaired on insurance rather than a right off. This is better for me as would be easier than a right off. Drew |

Re: UPDATE - Following Off
heres hoping thats good news with the hand. If you dont' feel comfortable with that verdict stamp your feet. My mate had a fracture in his wrist that the xray missed-his wrist never felt right...he stamped his feet and 12 moths after his accident he's just found out hes gt a cyst growing in the fracture....nasty
I'm sure you'll be fine, and it sounds like the bikes on the mend too.....so you'll be out to play again soon:-) |

Re: UPDATE - Following Off
Sound slike things are on the up - which is good news.
I second the opinion of foot stamping though - if your hand doesn't feel right, complain loud and long that it doesn't feel right. Do everything they tell you to do sure, but still let any difficulties be known. It's never a case of 'They all do that sir' it's your hand, you know what it should damn well feel like. ;) |
