High level can
Is there any way to put one on and still have pillion pegs?
(preferably without the pillion catching fire ) |
Re: High level can
yes
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a300/svrash/yes.jpg It's a full micron system, the link pipe can be moved in so the can is inside the pillion peg, just make sure it doesn't fowl the swingarm. I also cut off the big loop thing that the OEM can bolts to |
Re: High level can
scorpion do a spacer kit for theirs, basicly shifts the foot rest out some,
then you can get a heat sheild from bandit mania to protect the pillion :D |
Re: High level can
That micron looks sweeeeeet.
How did you go on with the tail end, number plate etc? |

With twin renes that I have, the pillion pegs are replaced by two exhaust hangers on both sides, so what I've done it got two lengths of steal pipe (a few inches), some long bolts, and some wood! (And a handful of washers too...) The exhaust hangers stay closest to the frame, then the pipe acts as the spacer to give it distance and something firm, and then the original pillion pegs go on the end. And the wood I hear you ask? That's for inside the pipe with a hole in the middle to keep the pipe in the same position when bolting it all up! I've had many weighty pillions on the back and these haven't shown any signs of straining  |
