Missing Repsol 05 blade

Gone in 60 seconds. Mates Factory Repsol, Nicked from Whittle le Woods, Chorley.

Now this is my home turf. I l know the bad boys and asked about last night. Guess is it is non local scroats. Plod seems to think there has been a rash of bike thefts locally

A few are keeping an eye out for me. But me thinks it will either be a track or ebay jobby.

Bad luck....

Lets hope that the scroats come to an unfortunate sticky end...

Do they not rob blades for robberies / hits in your area?
I knew around dublin, they would rob Blades, almost always just Blades, change the oil and plugs on it, do a robbery, and it would end up left somewhere along the quays. A lot of the blades robbed would be retrieved this way (around Dublin anyway). There was even a guy you could go to, and throw a few Euro at, to make sure that your bike arrived there nicely.

A new ignition for it and you were grand usually.

If they did a hit on it, it would normally end up in the canal. But generally it was just robberies.

It might be worth finding out if there is a local bike ditching spot near you...

A shame that I feel so pessimistic, but I'm just not sure that they do anymore. We need :batman: or :reaper: for them.

Blimey, they service the bike and then dump it, considerate types you have there :-)

I suppose when you absolutely, positively have to get the f*ck out of Dodge, very quickly, you take certain precautions.

If they use the bike for a shooting though, it would be dumped into the canal. Not so great.
But, yeah, for years you could go to a specific bar, to the rather cheesyly named Bike King, and he would investigate you getting your blade back.
You would throw him a few quid. And then you would pick it up...

It seemed normal at the time. I suppose looking back at it, it was a bit weird.

If it was something else though, an FZR or whatever, then it wasn't him who robbed it, and there was nothing you could do really. Just blades.

Re: Missing Repsol 05 blade

Although Nick has a crime report number for his claim. Plod, were due to interview him last night. 3 whole days after he reported it nicked. No show.

He is not too disheartened, he had just bought a new blade in Winston colours that was supposed to be kicking out 15bhp on the back wheel more than his 05 Repsol did with a PC/Yoshi/K&N etc.

So he had already removed the carbon wheels to put on the Winston, but with all his trick stuff removed he was thinking it was worth about £6500 and worried that the insurance may only offer about £6,000. and he will loose a fortune on the trick stuff he cannot get his hands on. PC, uprated shock, Yoshimura full system etc.
