Expensive Unleaded
What is the difference between normal unleaded and the expensive stuff?
I had to put some in on Saturday as there was no normal stuff, so I filled her right up. I'm sure I have read somewhere that the SV shows absolutely no benefit from this, but surely I must be getting something for my extra pennies per litre...... |

If you do a search, I think the general consens is it does nowt beneficial for the SV as there isnt a knock sensor to alter the timing for better burning fuel (I think thats right)...certainly doesnt do any harm either... Although, in the past I do get better MPG with it in the SV...only a couple of MPG - but I dont think that it outweighs the cost... |
Re: Expensive Unleaded
it cleans the system up a bit, but i pu a full tank in at least once a month but if you really want to see a performance increase.. drop some redex in.. mine used to last 130 miles per tank.. now the light comes on at that,,

Re: Expensive Unleaded
What is it?
Where do I get it from? What does it do? How do I do it? |
Re: Expensive Unleaded
Redex is a fuel addative; you can pick it up from any Halfords or decent bike shop.
All it does is clean out carbon deposits and general crud from the fuel system... Helps keep things all sparkly :D All you do is put the right dosage into the fuel tank with a refuel and bob's your transvestite auntie! |
