Employment Question - Your Views
Heya All
A really good job has come up at Mrs Drews place as a trainee accountant. What I wanted to know, is, what are the org peeps views of working close to partners (If any of you do). I am not sure whether to tell them during interview stage or leave it, as they will not know our relationship unless I tell them. Its a good opportunity, but I don't want to make things harder for either of us. Cheers for any advice the mighty org may give. Drew |

Go for it mate. If it's a disaster then just grit your teeth until you are a trainee no longer and then polish up the old CV.
If they ask, tell 'em. If they dont, don't! |

Mrs Ed works with me. She's my 'Practice Director'. Does a terrific job, too. We don't fall out, it works very well.

Re: Employment Question - Your Views
The official line of the company I work for is that where practical they will not employ partners within the same department. There had been exception where the skill set of both is suitable for one dept only. Say both draughtsmen or IT specialists etc.
But we would put engineers into a project team and specialist dept, accountants would be within the finance dept and on project teams as a project accountant etc. |
