Another camera thread again...
I might* get a digital camera as my Christmas, stroke, slash, Birthday present. Which of these 3 are good?
Has a 10x zoom PANASONIC TZ3 http://www.panasonic.co.uk/high-zoom...eb-k/index.htm Face recognition ones PANASONIC FX55 http://www.panasonic.co.uk/compact/d...eb-k/index.htm CANON IXUS 960 IS http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Prod...0_IS/index.asp *Might as in I'll ask for one. Instead I'll prob get some clothes that are way too large for me, some chocs, some money and something random that I'll never use and I'll end up buying the camera myself... |
Re: Another camera thread again...
I'd def go for the panasonic. Either one will take snaps better than any of us ever will ;)
I'd go for the Zooooomy one, a feature rather than a novelty. :) hth (and this is from a long time canon fan) |
Re: Another camera thread again...
I really fancied the TZ3 until I handled one. It felt very fisher price and it rattled.
Having said that a work colleage has shown me some ace pictures taken with one. |

Old 3.2 Samsung camera packed in (then a week later the PC did too, a week before we went for a weeks break!:()
..anywayz, had a nosey about and ended up going for the TZ3 Black (£180 and a bit from Amazon, not including an SD card and a spare battery). Main selling point for me was the great lens. Wide angle makes a big, err wide difference. Also has a "mechanical"? stabilizer as well as the cheapy "digital" one. Makes a big difference when using the strong x10 zoom. Good battery life even with the big LCD screen. No viewfinder which proper photo people will frown at, but the screen was bright even in a low sun coming over yer shoulder. Not found it a problem. I don't buy into the massive megapixel thing. I think the TZ3 is 7.2. Plenty. Good manual, so the missus says:rolleyes::p No camera bag! Bit **** that. Its metal-cased, and cos of the big lens its a bit more weighty compared to the usual compacts. Makes it feel sturdy and solid though. Good quality of video and sound too. A happy chappy.:) Wee vid review......... http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Pa...Z3/page7.shtml was a convincer. ( The grid overlay is great in use for to get your angles right for certain subjects) Hope this helped |
