My puppy may need rehoming
Hi all,
I have a 12 month old pedigree Springer who I love to bits, but due to a relationship breakdown I may loose him. My work makes me work possibly 12 hours shifts including travelling time and hence Samson would be left in the house all alone. I don't think this is fair and would hate him to suffer. I am therefore thinking of rehoming him, to someone that can give him the life he deserves. It is going to break my heart but I have to think if him. I will try and get some piccies put up off him. He is a very loyal and loving mad dog, the only issue I have with him is he doesnt walk to heel, he is brilliant in every other way. I am in the Staffordshire area so anyone that is interested send me a PM and I will get back to you. Shell |

DAMN :(
Hope you find a good home for him, i would love a dog but i'm in the same situation as you work wise. |
Re: My puppy may need rehoming
Oh no Shell :( so sorry to hear this hun! I'll get in touch with a couple of people and get back to you... i'd love to have taken him on but my breed of dog (sometimes) are same sex aggressive :( and i can't risk Samson getting hurt.
Can i ask if he is neutered at all? |

Re: My puppy may need rehoming
Oh no Shell, that must be a heart-breaking situation to be in, but at least you are looking after his best interests as there are plenty of people who wouldn't have given a flying f*** if their dog was left unattended all day every day. My mate has a Springer bitch about the same age as yours and she is ace, so much so that the wife and I had said we'd love one one day but due to a 9 month old baby, and me changing jobs soon and will be working stupid shifts aswell we just can't do it.
Good luck, I hope you find him a good home. |
Re: My puppy may need rehoming
Ahhh thank you for all your replies.
I have a number of options now for Samson and many willing takers. Also I have had alot of constructive advice on how I can keep him. I am going to speak with my family tonight too see if they can help with him but if it's a no go then I will be saying bye to my baby. Just for all you dog lovers here is a few piccies. http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/5...nbedve1.th.jpg http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/2...0002lj2.th.jpg http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/5...0105xj7.th.jpg |
Re: My puppy may need rehoming
Aww bless him Shell :D he's grown loads. I have let a couple of doggy people know and one of them has said that if you have no luck in either keeping him or finding him a new home then to let her know, she is in the police dog section and keeps malamutes and border collies.
I hope you can sort things out so you can keep him though. fingers crossed for you and him. |

Hi Shell ,
I hope You get things sorted out ok. |
Re: My puppy may need rehoming
Hey folks, kinda good news for me and Sam, not for those who showed an interest (thank you).
I have spoken to my family and they are going to help me out with Sam when I work long shifts, if it then doesn't work and it is too much for them then I will rehome, but we have sat down and thought long and hard .... looks like Sam is going to stay with me and be a shared doggie for the time being. |
