Online Poker

Do any Orgers play ?

If so, then where ?

My favourite is one I've only just found called PKR (pkr.com) 3d Interactive but I can also be found from time to time at Poker Stars (pokerstars.com)

Come and find me sometime & we'll have a giggle.

BTW - whilst in the real world I'm not averse to a modest stakes game, online I only play the Play Money tables.

I've played in the past. Did ok, made a few hundred quid over a few months, just a half hour here and there. Began to get tiresome, and I consequently started to win less and less to the point where I was breaking even over a week, so I just stopped and cashed out the winnings.
Good game, though. Requires real concentration.

I used to play but not any more. I know some people who actually make a good living of playing on the net. 3 of them log onto the same game and rip the others off. All 3 of them sitting in the same room, thus knowing what hand they have. They just play the odds and hike the stake when one of them has a good hand. So be careful out there :-)

Re: Online Poker

I used to plaay a lot on william hill poker. I avoid the cash tables, and play tournament tables - entry fee of anything from £2 to £20 and anything from 6 tp 1000 players. I prefer tournament play because you only pay the entry fee and the house fee, you can't lose any more money during that game.

I avoid free games because when there is nothing to lose, people play stupidly.

My best result was a satelite tournament a couple of years back, I paid $5 to enter the fist round, got all the way to the final and won $4500 (I think I finished 20-something).

Three bits of advice - only play one table at a time, concentrate at all times (i.e. don't try to make dinner and play at the same time, even if you are out of the hand, you can still pick up plenty of info), and don't drink alcohol while playing ;)

Yeah used to play quite a bit, and for what was quite a lot of cash to me given I was a student at the time. Mainly played on PartyPoker, found that it was the most profitable in that (being the largest site at the time, don't know if it still is) it had large numbers of fish willing to donate money if you played sensibly tight.
