this isn't really news in the sense that it wasn't expected, if you take into account the increased number of M/Cs on the road then the "per rider mile" figures have actually dropped

anything that increases policy-makers' awareness of how the design of roads affects us has to be welcome though, and it's nice to see a large motoring organisation like the RAC pushing forward some good points too...

Take that report with a pinch of salt, anyone can make statistics work in favour of one direction or another.....I do like the RAC suggestion that our roads are full of pot holes, worn tarmac etc and that the UK still doesnt include motorcyclists when considering new roads and road repairs.....its about time it is now in print and in the report! Here's hoping for better road (after all the government received and injection of cash to their coffers last year with over 200million extra pounds to their already expanding fund from road fund licence, tax)

its always a good laugh reading statistics in the media.

Shock! The number of LSI incidents is up by 200... Sounds bad... 200 more incidents...

But we need to see all of the numbers from the last 10 years that they haven't told us about, to see if this is a significant trend or just the "normal" variation of the process.

If it has been 6400, 6350, 6420, 6300, 6275, 6375... Then there is really no difference at all.

Lets hope they fix the roads.

Hell they get enough tax for us to use them... Maybe they should spend ALL (not ~20%) of that money on the roads? Bar-stuards are instead giving it to the scumm who dont fancy working so they can buy a battered car and drive it uninsured and without a licence (as they cant afford it), just to make life easier (heh) for us fools who work and follow the law.
