bolt holes for standard mirrors on K7

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the size of the bolt to use in the mirror bolt holes?

I've removed mine in preference of some oberon streetfighters I have - I'd like to fill them in before they rust like a b'stard!

Cheers

10mm diameter, though I'm not certain of the thread pitch.

This is a K7 and not an SK7, I assume.

I reckon they're of the M6 variety, might be wrong though.

Why not just put a blind grommet in there?

I wanted to put bolts back into these holes incase of corrosion. Should I sell the bike in the future, I'll remove the expensive additions, and reattach the old mirrors, so if I put some bolts in there, that will at least help prevent it getting completely knackard should a bit of water get in.

Now to find somewhere that does black allen bolts!

Actually, rubber plugs in those holes ain't a bad idea because it ends up looking very neat and tidy, and I really doubt corrosion will be a problem.
I've seen and owned bikes that went years with those holes/threads exposed and yet a mirror was able to be threaded into it on a moment's notice.

The metal is aluminum, anyway, ain't it?
