Jiminy Cricket's demise!

Well, this was the best that I could do - messing about with my camera's 'Continuous/Burst' mode... but even then the beggar shifts it a bit quick!

Meet 'Lunch'! Trust me, this isn't going to end well for him, or his friends - if you have an overwhelming love of dear ol' Jiminy Cricket, best look away now.

What do you mean, I've still got an antenne sticking out of my mouth?! :p

And people wonder what the fascination is owning reptiles. ;)

A friend of mine used to feed his Carpet Python stunned gerbils - till one woke up, attacked the snake and took a few chunks out of his side! He then turned to breeding rats for them as they are less likely to fight back - it's a natural thing for a gerbil, they're distantly related to the Mongoose.
I guess he never read Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book as a kid. ;)

He's a Spiney Tailed Monitor, the smallest of the Monitor family.
I always thought Geckos look like they're grinning all the time, unlike Chameleon's, who constantly look grumpy.

S'called nature innit. Or the food chain. ;)

The various bugs are bred specifically as a food supply, so get a nice life to adulthood, plenty of procreation and fed very, very well...

... that way they're nicely fat and nutritious for Egg!
